Wakefield, the home of terrible drivers

Well it must be.
I scratched the car just before I went in for the op and I'm now phoning around to get someone to quote for a repair.
The first two aren't taking any more work on at the minute (how many crashes must there be around here?!   ), the third didn't come to the phone and the fourth is part of a BMW chain and only work on BMW's and Minis.
The car might have to just stay as it is!

That sounds like around here!

Our neighbour left his handbrake off (again - it’s the third time in 10 months that we’re aware of, and in two different vehicles so not a problem with the handbrake!) and it rolled off his drive, across the road and into Tom’s car which was parked at the top of our drive. He had to wait five weeks before the repair place could do it.

Blimey!

We had a big scratch and dent on our car, but that was Mick's fault, as he pulled out of the drive too quickly and scraped it on the iron railings  :cute:

Cromwell, my suspicion is that these body shops do not want the small, cosmetic, jobs so they either claim to be swamped with work or hand out massive estimates in the hope that you will go away.

I have that T shirt.

Have you tried one of the scratch repair companies which come to your house place of work. Saw one doing one of the dentist'd car last year when I was going for a check up.
Very much cheaper than a garage and looks jus as good.

Worth investigating and you do not need to tell your insurance company.
