Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 09 Nov 2021, 06:47

Good morning.

Stuck record but warm and sunny again. 8-)

Off for a walk. :D

Marie Carmen handed in a dozen massive eggs and two aubergines last night (Ready Steady Cook springs to mind  ) so I'm going to make a tortilla for dinner tonight with the eggs and use some of the others to make a cake.
The aubergine will be cooked with tomatoes, chickpeas, carrot and spices for a Moroccan soup which I'll portion up and freeze. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool, rather than cold morning, but lots of sun and it will warm up nicely later.

Gardening head on this morning. Now it's warmer at night, all the plants we bought at the market last week can go in the horta. Allotment. Veg plot, whatever  Also the lime tree can go into it's new home, near one of the lemon trees. to keep it company 8-)

Relaxing the back this afternoon and off out to dinner tonight,

Hope Jen had a better night and is feeling better xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Dull and overcast

Another restless night, they stopped giving me the amitriptyline when I was in hospital, think I'll take one tonight. All this waking up every couple of hours is exhausting. Poor Ed looks as cream crackered as me.

Didn't watch Dexter last night, was too uncomfortable to concentrate, will play catch up later.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s quite a mild and sunny one here although very breezy.

John’s got the week off, that still leaves him with 2 weeks and 1 day of holiday to take before Christmas. Not sure how and I’m not sure he’ll stay home all week judging by the phone calls and the fact he’s already been using his work laptop this morning.

Not sure what we’re doing today. Joe’s car is in for a minor repair (brake pads I think) so John took him to work at 6.30 (they left the car at the garage yesterday evening) and will pick him up at 3.30, if the car is done before then he’ll go and collect it.

We’ve binged on The Morning Show on Apple TV, we’re now up to date and eagerly awaiting the new episode on Friday. When I saw that it starred Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carrell I expected it to be a comedy but I was so very, very wrong!

That all sounds lovely Al, especially the soup :D

Happy Birthday to Mick!

Have a good day all :D

Good morning.

It is mild and partly cloudy with little wind.

Somebody has abandoned a Seat car on the roundabout and it is blocking the road. A few of us have reported it, apparently, and the police have just been round. Its owner only lives a few streets away so the cops are off to check. It is all locked up properly so probably not stolen - a breakdown?

Jen, the lesion on my ear keeps waking me up as well, three or four times a night. The lack of sleep is bringing me down.... but we'll survive.

Food shop later and Happy Birthday to Mick.

Keep safe and well.

ETA. It was a genuine breakdown, young woman with baby. It just died. We have managed to roll it to one side and park it safely and the AA are on the way.

Afternoon all, it’s a pleasant day here. I had a hair appointment for cut and colour at 11am, so now I’m bootiful again. Before that, I changed the bedding. We were waiting delivery of Michael’s birthday present today, so Edward didn’t play golf to make sure we didn’t miss it, it arrived about 30 minutes ago. We’ve bought him a Chrome notebook, which seems like quite an expensive present, but it will become more and more useful to him especially as he goes to secondary school next year. Up till now, he has made do with Edward’s very old notebook, which finally died. Miss Osc had our car overnight, it’s currently parked at her office, and when she’s ready to go home, I’ll pop up and drive her home, probably around 6pm. Edward has just prepared our dinner and he is getting his hair cut at 3.30pm.

Good afternoon all.
A mild day here with plenty of sun.
We have done the supermarket run and been for a walk around Sharlston Common, where I grew up.
There is an actual common there too, with a little dam that people fish in.
Happy birthday to Mick!
Fingers crossed for a better night's sleep for you Jen.
Have a good day all.
