What a rip off.

I only rarely get sliced meats and then mostly from Aldi.

Yesterday I was in Asda and saw a 2 for £3 offer and needed some for sandwiches next week so got some ham. .

A lunch I was making a ham salad job and as I took out a slice I thought "that looks thin" and it was! :o

Turning the pack over and the weight is now 120g. I am sure that the last time I got some it was 140 or 150g.

It's back to the (£2.49) 340g tins of gammon ham for me. Better quality and more for less.

I do not buy ham or any other sliced meat from supermarkets.
One slice is so thin you cannot taste it in a sandwich. Alsom there is a lot of water inn the meat.
I get mine from a stall in the market. They cook the joints and then slice it. You can then buy as much as youn want.
It is not shink wrapped in plastic. I bought some tongue, some turkey a beef & onion bagette and a slice of carrot cake.
Just over £6.00 including two packs of barm cakes which I will put in the freezer.

No choice here, Cruiser, as the only independent High Street butcher in town closed at the end of last month ... :|
