Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 16 Jan 2022, 07:50

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 17 degrees which is normal winter conditions for us natives.

Off for my walk. :D

Back to chill for a while then we're going to have a couple of beers and buy a roasted chicken takeaway to bring home. I'll rustle up spicy potato wedges and salad to go with it. :D

Have a good day.

Good morning all.
A nice sunny morning here, much more cheerful than yesterday's mist and gloom.
It is just me and MrsC for dinner today. She says we'll be staring at each other like a pair of cats!
Have a good walk Ally, may even get out myself later.
We still need to get a new car seat for Eliza. Yesterday we bought a new tv, it's on order. Ooh my poor wallet.
There are some mature trees over the road, leafless now in the winter. This morning I counted ten pigeons perched there like vultures!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it’s a pleasant morning here. In a while we are going to head over to Miss Osc’s, bus one way, then walk back or the other way around. When they bought the house a year ago, the garden was quite overgrown. It had been landscaped many years previously but had not been well maintained for the best part of 10 years. We all did what we could cutting back and so on, but it needed someone who knew what they were doing. Finally they got a gardener who has done great work apparently so we are going to have a look. Then back home to do not very much, no doubt watch the snooker final, there was some great snooker in the semis yesterday.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

We seem to have got into the habit of lie ins again, only just having brekkie. Nothing exciting happening, rotisserie chicken with veggies for dinner later followed by choccy blancmange and orange jelly for pud. DOI and my favourite Call the Midwife on the box tonight.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

I've got a pan of chocolate brownies, plus a roast in the oven at the moment. Brownies by request of H, a recipe using Bournville chocolate, we'll have one each as dessert, then the rest can go in a tin :D Don't see them as lasting for long though ;)

Becky is at work, her last Sunday for a good while, as she's got a new job at a different vet practice, starting at the end of Feb :D I will post about it later on the Relationship board ;) g

A much warmer day here today!

also looking forward to DoI and Call The Midwife on telly later :D

Love to all ;) xx

Crommers can I ask which one you opted for? It's on our list (a new tv) but we have other more important things to buy before that - I have a date for our refurb bathroom and a new composite back door, both within the next few weeks, and then of course the wedding

Stag do for 'the lads' yesterday, Wetherby races....Tom was merry but not silly drunk when he got home - we even had our usual Saturday night Chinese! No winners for him though, and he said it was so foggy, the racing was doubtful at first, but it went ahead.

Today it has been bright but milder than yesterday (which didn't rise much above 0!) so we went to our favourite riverbank walk in Durham, coffee and a cake in the cathedral coffee shop, and back along the river. Just stunning. I've done some h/w since I got back, and a couple of loads of washing, tea to make shortly....

Lily tested positive for Covid, and we spent a couple of hours with her after school on Friday  We both did LFTs but they were negative thankfully. I don't know how long before we may have positive results....anyone know? She's ok though - she even did a test on Friday with Tom as he'd been in contact with someone +ive on Tuesday, both their tests on Fri were -ive though.
