Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 19 Mar 2022, 07:01

Good morning.

Gorgeously sunny and warm. 8-)

Off for a walk shortly. :)

Going to Gambrinus for lunch. Meeting up with a few friends so no doubt will be a lengthy one.

I love being outdoors so all good.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but chilly still. Warming up to 22C later. And not a cloud in the sky 8-)

Love being outside too Ally :Hi:

Off to Ourique with friends this morning, as there is the monthly (rather small) market, but good to help the local "craft" bods, with their local, artisan stuff.~~Grumpy is staying at home to do the vacuuming and mopping he "forgot" to do yesterday :cute:

Athletics for me, inbetween making flat breads when I get back and then meeting friends down at the bar this afternoon.

Phew, all go today

Lots of sport to watch today and tomorrow :Hi: :Hi:

Saturday, so it's curry night :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you two! :D :D

It's beautifully sunny here too, so I'll enjoy outdoors when we go for brunch, rather than huddling under the patio heaters :P :D

Having a nice birthday so far (thanks for the birthday thread :D ) as Mick bought me up a bunch of flowers with my morning tea  Harry sent me some Yankee Candle stuff (he knows I love them) got some really nice cards, and a silver chain from my friend C in Yorkshire :) Not seen Becky yet as she's still in bed  We're going out for my birthday lunch tomorrow as I really fancy a Sunday carvery :) 63 is proving ok, 8 hours in......

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s a lovely one here :D

We’re off for a long walk with Bill shortly. John’s going to cycle into Lichfield later. There are a lot of lanes that he uses between here and there where he hardly sees any traffic but he thinks one might have been closed off so he wants to check it out before riding into work. He used to do that twice weekly between March and October, when the mornings and evenings are both light, but the pandemic and working from home put a stop to it two years ago and he’s keen to start again this year.

Joe’s in Cornwall and Tom’s just got up but he’s keeping it a secret as to whether he’s going to Shannon’s, or is staying home or even if Shannon’s coming here. We’ve both asked a few times what his plans are but he just says that he doesn’t know, when we know that he does but he just enjoys being awkward with us, if anyone else asked he’d soon tell them.

Kaz, I love Yankee Candle stuff too. There being one at the designer outlet doesn’t do the bank balance any favours

Have a good day all :D

Good morning, it's a lovely one here too.
Off to do the weekend shop shortly, will probably watch the rugby this afternoon, first time for a long time.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s bright and sunny here although quite breezy. My main news is that Edward has tested positive this morning    so no dancing for us tonight. I was negative - my first ever test. He is so mad, having escaped it for two years and still being very careful. Frustratingly he was feeling much better this morning, it has just been like a bad cold and he only tested because we were supposed to go out. Not sure what to do today, I cleared the ironing yesterday. I might fill out our census form which was delivered yesterday, that’ll take up some time by the size of it!

Osc if this didn’t have a label we’d be going about life with a cold. Instead we still can’t get on with life. And yes I know the vulnerable are at risk, but they are at risks from colds and we don’t stay at home with them

And Edward only tested today because you were going out so he has been walking round with it for a few days? Testing only works if everyone of us does it everyday

I agree Shell, he only tested in respect to our fellow dancers, some of whom would be older than we are. A cold would never stop us going out.
