Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 22 Apr 2022, 06:35

Good morning.

Warm and sunny. 8-)

Already been for my walk. :D

David's picking me up at 10 and we're going to Miramar shopping mall. There's a C&A, a huge Primark and loads of other shops to indulge in retail therapy.

We'll pop into Iceland on the way home too. :D

Friday beers and tapas tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning all, it’s another nice day here. Edward is playing golf with two of our dance friends this morning so it is great that the weather is good. I’ll drop him to the golf club then will go to return a top I bought the other day. There is a WhatsApp group for our Friday night dance, and someone posted requesting three particular dances for tonight - Edward had me up and practising them while I was still in my dressing gown :? Actually, it’s great that he has really got back into the dancing, he has been more hesitant than I for quite some time, but I can see him relaxing more and more.

Good morning everyone.
Yours sounds like a great day Ally. Enjoy the rain Jan!
Osc, isn't the return of normality a wonderful thing?
A lovely morning here, ll springlike and sunny. The tulips have flowered in the front garden and we still have some daffs as well.
MrsC and our son have gone on a dungeon tour of Pontefract castle. The attraction of this escapes me but she's wanted to go for ages.
In a mo I'll go for a paper then start on the slow roast lamb that we are having tonight.
Have a great day all.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Usual Friday wash day and expecting a delivery from Sainsbury's later, more than enough to keep me busy.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all :)

Mick and I had dental appointments this morning, check-up and hygienist, all ok. I went into town after that to get D some wheelie bin liners, as they had none in Sainsbury's yesterday. Took those up to her, had a cuppa then walked home. A far less pleasant day here today, very overcast although no rain as yet. I think it will, so have up on hanging out my washing and put it in the dryer ;) Since getting home have vacuumed round, and done some cleaning. Feet up now with another cuppa :D

Ally, your plans sound great :D xx

Jan, hope you're having fun hitting the shops :) xx

Enjoy the dance Osc :) xx

Slow roasted lamb sounds delicious Crommers :) xx

Afternoon Jen :) xx

Love to all xxx

Good afternoon everybody.

The sun is out but there is a strong wind. Went shopping this morning.
Have spent this afternoon putting a new connection to the socket which powered the security light at tyhe back. It has stopped working
and I thought it was just the bulb. ThenI realised it was on the same circuitb as the immersion heater. This has been dis-connected
at the main control panel as I no longer have a hot water tank. Will finish it ff tomorrow. Has probably saved me more than £100 if I
had an electrician to do it.
Watered the lawn last night and the grass is already looking greener. Not had any rain for several weeks now.

Afternoon all, I’ve been distracted by one thing and another all week.

Today started off dull but it beautifully sunny now. It’s very windy though, which made tending to next door’s rabbits a bit difficult. Sawdust and hay was blowing everywhere! I’ve got to go back again yet because they ganged up on me at the doorway by where their most used water bowl is so I couldn’t fill it without them trying to escape.
The neighbours also now have a fridge full of milk. They have four pints delivered daily and it seems that they haven’t cancelled it

Joe’s in Cornwall this weekend. Tom’s home tomorrow and Shannon’s coming over and then on Sunday they’re driving all the way over to Kings Lynn to visit Shannon’s friend and her new baby.
