Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 23 Apr 2022, 05:57

Good morning.

Warm and sunny forecast. 8-)

We had a mad rainfall last night for about three hours. We'd just got home so dodged it.
The gardens look so fresh now. :D

Off for my walk shortly. :D

Back to laze and read. :D

We're going out for an Indian meal tonight. :P

Have a great day.

Morning all :D

Was up at silly o'clock as E's gone off on the 5-6hr round trip to have his PCR test ready for his op on Tuesday. He's always told to be ready for his pick up 4hrs before his appointment, but the driver usually phones the night before with an actual time. This time he didn't so E being someone who hates to be late was actually up at 5.30am :o Much too early for me, I forced myself out of bed at 7am. The driver didn't turn up until 7.45am which is pushing it, but I doubt the drive through peeps will be too bothered. I expect we'll both fall asleep this afternoon

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning Ally, Jen and everyone

Raining again :Hi: And not that warm, so the heaters are on

Good luck to E today, hope all goes well x

Ironing for me this morning, the stuff I didn't do the other day. And the cleaning which didn't get done yesterday.

If the rain stops, which it's supposed to this afternoon, we might pop down to the bar, for a pre roast dinner drink.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning you lot and everyone

Ally, glad you got some rain, everything does look so much better and fresher when the dust is washed off it.
Jan, hope your rain stops
Jen, that is rather annoying not being told when the actual pick up is. Can the PCR test not be done closer to home - that's just madness

I'm meeting a bunch of friends for lunch in Guildford today. Heading in earlier to meet up with a friend for a mooch around town first so need to get cracking :D Always think I've got plenty time and then before you know it I'm running around like a headless chicken :D :D :D

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning everybody.

The sun is out but there is a cold wind.
Have ben for the paper and some shopping. Going to sees friend later as it is her birthday. No alcohol as I am driving.

Will water the lawn later as we have not had any rain for several weeks and it is loking brown.

Have a good day everybody.

I agree Ria, but them's the RNOH rules. They made it quite clear if he insisted on having it done locally there's no guarantee the results will get through on time, no result no op. One of E's previous drivers told him that's exactly what happened to a lady he drove up, he had to turn straight round as her results hadn't arrived in time. It's crazy and is costing the NHS a fortune, but E would rather go along with it than risk any delay.

Morning all, the sun is coming out but it is windy and chilly. We didn’t get to go dancing last night, as our teachers were judging at a big competition in England, and she tested positive when they got home, so it was cancelled. However we are going dancing tonight, one we haven’t been to before. We had a much needed lie in this morning, it’s been quite a busy week, so I think I’ll take it fairly easy today.

Afternoon everyone :)

Our day started early, with B and I out for our 8.30am SW meeting. I'm afraid Easter told on the scales  :cute:  Breakfast at Corretto's afterwards, then a visit to D's.

We're watching documentaries on the player this afternoon, a fascinating one about the Minoans on Crete first, including lots of info about the palace at Knossos where the Minotaur labyrinth was supposed to be, and where Mick and I went on 2018, and now one about the origins of the Celts

It's quite chilly today :?

Love to all xxx
