Bargain!

It's Lyra's birthday in a few weeks and I wanted to get her something non-electronic, something to help with her imagination and physical skills. I was in Asda and there was this huge box of Play-Doh - 40 different colours in little tubs reduced from £27 to just £12.

'Well that will do me' thought I.

When I got to the self-service till with the rest of my shopping I could not find a way to buy it as it was a hand written reduced label so I asked the girl doing the tills for help. She took it way and came back to type in the amount - £6!!!

Like I say - a bargain! With that I got Lyra a pinney and a plastic tablecloth with shells and sea creatures on to save mum some cleaning up.
;)

You are too thoughtful WM. Mrs S and I deliver house destroying presents with a smile....

Although, until recently, our youngest grandchild, at 12, is in Argentina and out of range, #3 son produced a daughter last year and we get to do this all over again.

The box is sat on the table in the dining room and every time I go in I get itchy fingers.

I remember plasticine from my younger days and how bad it was for carpets, furniture and clothes.

One Christmas I got some powder in my stocking that, mixed with water, made up into a bright purple modelling dough! You can guess what a mess it made of my candlewick bedspread!
