I had just got out of the car when the rain started - big, heavy drops. The cloud cover is high, I know that from the planes taking off, so the drops were coming down from a very cold place. I was shivering by the time I had done the forty or so metres to the door.

I had to change my top and put a pullover on.

Yes I was noticing that every time it rains here the temperature plummets.

I fell over an academic article today about the Hunga Tonga volcanic eruption. Apparently because it was a submerged eruption it pushed unprecedented amounts of water into the mesosphere. Which is going to mess with global weather for a year or two.

The mesosphere is a "very" cold place.. :D :D

27C here at the moment.

Hottest we've been in the Alentejo, this time of night. Just come inside, as the mozzies are out to play.
