A sheepy afternoon

Ze Felipe brought his sheep up to our land, filled up the bath (yes, an old bath   ) with water for them and told us he was off for three days to Paris, with his wife. Ah, lovely, we said.

Half an hour later, I had to ring him. Grumpy hadn't secured the ruin very well and they'd gone in, all fifty of them  and disappeared  :o

Then we saw them on idiot's land. Who would not be very happy

He collected them all and then we had to secure the ruin.

Whilst all this was going on, Heldar, who also had sheep in an adjoining field also has to remove his sheep from where they should be.

Not daft, these Alentejana sheep. ;)

And the, huge thunderstorm, lots of rain, so they all got soaked

And yes, he was cutting down trees, yes he is going to build a house on the land and yes, to was a drone which was operated by the police who spotted the trees had been cut down.

And no, Ze Felipe didn't do it, which we were worried about.

Is there a Portuguese equivalent of having to get planning permission to build a house, Jan?

Will the cork tree "debacle" affect the granting of any such permission?

And have you got mutton chops for tea? :D

Imo he will build a house regardless of what the law says.

He will try Crommers, we know we will. But then we get to the borehole and restrictions as to where he can build, as he is supposed to be over 15 meters from our boundary. According to Ze, he just wants to knock down what is left of the ruin and build there. We will see on that, as architects and engineers come into. He will also need a borehole, as we don't have "normal" water. As that would be the fourth house in a rather small area, another problem. And he is near the water table, so another problem for the fossa.

Very strict out here in the compo (countryside) Single story only and as I said, water and sewage needs to be sorted. As a new build, he'd have to have a septic tank. rather than a soakaway, as we have.

We're going to see another solicitor as we know Nuno is as slippery as an eel

No, I don't think the cutting of trees will do any harm to the process
but it will be noted.

No, we'll wait until Ze can catch them all
