Covid

I know of three people who have tested positive in the past week; one colleague and two friends (husband and wife). Wife picked it up at school and then passed it on to hubby.

But interesting that all three have had full on symptoms; fever and the loss of smell / taste and really feeling grotty etc, whereas with the last wave that hit around Easter time the symptoms definitely seemed milder for those who were testing positive.

Jose, down at the bar, had it, his wife missed it  but Maria Ze caught it

He's still got a hacking cough, she's fine.

Weird, how it affects different people so very differently.

Mick’s cousin’s husband is pretty ropey with it at the moment :? We’ve not seen the last of it yet :?

Rewind 2.5 years and no testing and everyone would assume it was just a bad flu right??

We will never see the end of it. Something China needs to get to grips with.

How odd Ria as I was just about to start a thread with this very topic!

We've a Dutch friend Martien who's a flight attendant for BA.
He flew in from Ontario last Saturday and tested negative on Sunday.

His wife Pam took herself off to different quarters of the house but succumbed yesterday.

Jenny, Pam's sister, lives in New Jersey, has been over here staying with them for four weeks.

Jenny's flight was tomorrow.....yep. You've guessed it. Tested positive this morning. :o

I wonder if the fact that symptoms are worse is because vaccine effectiveness is waning?

There are two new variants: BM.4 and BM.5. They might have something to do with it.

C, next door has it again, so does little L. Did it come from work or from school?

Mum Ally seems to be invincible, as does little S. All live in a small flat sharing the same spaces, tables, ablutions etc. and with no chance of separation and this is the second time it has happened to them.
