Changing Banks

Has anybody changed banks recently?

I have deceided to take up the offer of getting £170 to change banks. It has been easy doing it online. Will have to wait 60 days to get the
bonus but it should be worth it. I do not have to do anything else now I have completed the application online.

I have read that you can simply give your new bank your bank account number and they switch all your DD and anything else which is set up. Apparently they have to work it out with your existing bank and get it all done for you.

Personally I now have 4 bank accounts and only one direct debit for my mobile phone. It's simply not worth attempting to change my main bank at this time. Each bank has its benefits when travelling or using the cards or services. I switch money between them and then use the money as suits me best. The concept of a single bank account doesn't really work for me.

Mrs S also has 4 accounts with the savings account. But she is only with 1 bank.
