Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 05 Jul 2022, 04:45

Good morning.

Weather still being very ok and I'm having the best time here. :D

As you can see from my ticker, today was concert day.
Unfortunately it was announced around 9 last night due to illness the concert had to be cancelled.

Of course it's disappointing but it's not the end of the world.
They've said they'll announce asap a new date.
If it's whilst I'm still over here all well and good...if not I'll just fly back over.
Trust me...after what I've been through the last year it'll take more than a cancelled gig to upset me. :D

Michelle and I have decided we'll still go into Glasgow for the day.
We had lunch booked at Global buffet which we'll very happily honour.
A cocktail or three and a mooch in the fine shopping malls will be in order.
The MAC store will definitely be getting a visit. :P

Hope you're all ok and have a great day.

Morning Ally, Saundra and everyone

Mist now gone  but still a hazy morning. Heat ramping up now, once the cloud cover has gone.

Oh, such a shame Ally, but there's always the rescheduled one to look forward to.

Title and author Saundra?

Ironing for me this morning, before it gets too hot and then hit the pool. Will also be taking some cuttings. They'll have to be kept at the front, as the back is already full

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I've read that too Saundra...and yes, heartbreaking like you say. :(

I'm already excited about the reschedule Jan.

I've had more than 70 texts, Whatsapps and calls  from friends who seem more upset for me than me.

Nice that people care though. :cute:

Morning all, it’s a dull one.

Al, I saw about the concert on Facebook last night. Glasgow music fans aren’t having much luck, Red Hot Chilli Peppers cancelled last week too. My friend from Orkney was there for Green Day last week and was hoping it wasn’t cancelled, seeing as their last Glasgow concert was due to weather a few years ago just half an hour before the gates opened, and her husband was flying back down today for Guns and Roses!

Not much planned for today, Tom and Shannon are off to view a house after work.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, another dull one here and the sky is trying to decide whether or not to rain - I’m so sick of this dreary summer, even if it was warm it wouldn’t be so bad. However, I’m heading into town to have a mooch and look at the sale in Arnotts department store. Edward is going to play golf (for a change :P ). I’ll put on a wash before I go, the bathrooms can wait until tomorrow.

Shame about your concert Ally, but you have the right attitude and I’m sure you’ll have plenty of fun with the new schedule.

Good morning everybody.

I too am ironing. Am having a break for coffee before I start on the shirts.
Ally, will you be able to take all your new purchases back with you? Will you not exceed your weight allowance?

The sun is trying to come out but we have had a few spots of rain.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Shame about the cancelled concert Ally, have fun in Glasgow with Michelle.
Enjoy a garden day Saundra.
Very envious of your pool Jan.
Wish I could send you some of our sunshine Osc.

Another lovely walk for us yesterday. Today it's the cinema, this week it's Minions:The Rise of Gru. Really looking forward to it, they make me laugh so much.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all :)

That’s a pain Ally, but something to still look forward to 8-) xx

Your day sounds good Saundra :) xx

Ironing in the heat is awful Jan! Good plan to do it early xxx

Fingers crossed for Joe and Shannon, Jo :) My niece and her fiancé finally moved into their new house last week :D xx

A mooch is always nice Osc :D xx

Morning Cruiser :) xx

Enjoy the flicks Jen :) xx

I’m currently out in town. Got my washing out first. Will be up to D’s shortly for our Tuesday lunch. Big news here, B has a new job! Completely out of the blue she was head-hunted by a recruitment firm that she signed on with as a backup when she was leaving Woods. It’s not animal related, it’s as PA to the boss of a lighting firm based in Cheltenham but to work in their Gloucester office. She’s had two Zoom interviews for it and got the offer yesterday :) As she’s trying to save for her future (her dream is still to work in wildlife conservation in Canada) the money was too good to resist ;) Her probationary period at the new vets isn’t up yet, so she only has to work a week’s notice. New job starts Monday.

Have a good day everyone :) xx
