Morning Ally.

Another scorcher here... and the announcement of a hosepipe ban. :o

A few trips to the recycle shop with no longer needed bits and pieces and then a good sit out on the green to watch to world go by.

Have a good day everyone, keep cool and drink lots.

Good morning you two, morning everyone :)

Ally, have a fab day with your cousin and Aunt and enjoy the get together with your friends this evening
Frank, still very pleasant here but will warm up as the day goes on. Enjoy people watching on the green. I've got stuff I need to get to the charity shop - it's been sitting in a box for ages and just gathering dust.

No mention of hosepipe ban here (yet). Yesterday the forecast for next week was promising nearly a week of rain; alas as of this morning it's down to may two or three if we're lucky; so I suspect a ban will soon be announced. What I find hard to fathom is the people that are still using disposable BBQ's on dry playing fields / recreational grounds and even more stupidly those having bonfires to clear their garden waste!!!! The Surrey fire services were saying they're being called out to an average of 10 (thankfully quickly contained) fires, nearly all started because of people not using their brain. Our local rec had a fire yesterday apparently, again thankfully very quickly sorted, but they have announced a ban on BBQ's - should have done that weeks ago in all honesty.

Another usual / usual for me

Have a lovely day everyone and echoing what Frank said re the keeping hydrated x

Morning everyone

Another lovely morning.

Although we've missed some of it, as we just couldn't be bothered to get up  Nothing planned, apart from cleaning, and that can wait until tomorrow.

We had a rather boozy evening yesterday, met a load of friends down at the bar and some new people too, so things just took off

So a gentle day today. Swim and pootle. As long as the water isn't too cold. We didn't put the cover on the pool last night

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning, it’s too hot. 34° forecast for today.

Just waiting for the Tesco delivery, it’s due within the hour. Joe went into work extra early today, he left the house at 5.30, so that he can finish earlier as it’s too hot. I’ll leave the washing until he gets home so that I can make up a full load with his work uniform.

We both really enjoyed Bullet Train last night, it’s very violent and if I hadn’t have known different I’d have been sure that it had been directed by Guy Richie, it was just like his kind of film. Brad Pitt was excellent in it. Bonus that the air conditioning in there was working beautifully

No hosepipe ban announced for here yet. We had a lot of rain though leading up to this and next week looks like being a wet one.

Have a good day all :)

Good morning all.
Another lovely one here. We're down for 31c today but MrsC and I are off to the coast where it is forecast to be 25c - just right. :Hi:
It's due to rain next week so the Captain Mainwarings at Yorkshire Water should be OK.
Anyhow, on with loading the car up!
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, another gorgeous day here. We had a lovely day in Wicklow yesterday. I’ve spent the last hour chatting on Messenger with a former schoolmate who I came across on a local FB page, she lives in Australia. We’ve been exchanging photos, she was from Howth originally. I’d better shift myself though and get on with some bits and pieces. We have our first Tesco delivery this afternoon, having switched from our other supermarket - it’s already cheaper as delivery is free for over-65s :D Dancing this evening.

Morning all :D

Hot, hot, hot 8-)

Planning to sit outside in the garden with my Kindle, it's wash day so there will be a lot of running in/out to load/empty the machine. Exhausted just thinking about it

Stay cool and have a good day xx
