Good morning.

Sunny and 28°. Much more like it!

A swim shortly then plan to be lazy reading and liloing.

Final Shetland tonight. I've really enjoyed it.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny, but with a load of clouds around. More rain forecast :Hi: :Hi:

Going out to do the shopping soon, before the rain. And before breakfast too

Supposed to drop in to see Chris and Lucy on the way back, but think it might be a little too early, so will go down later. We have some post for them and also need to give them their post box key, now they're back for the winter.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

good morning everyone

Ally, enjoy your lazy day. 28 degrees only? You'll be needing a cardi very soon :D :D :D
Jan hope you get your shopping out the way and then enjoy a nice relaxing breakfast
Cruiser, interesting that your green bin is for both garden and food waste - do you not have a separate smaller food waste bin? Assume you can only put vegetable waste in the big bin, so no meat / bones etc?

Working from home today and it's much needed. The past two days I've been in the office and it's just been so busy that I've not have much time to do much of my usual admin'y stuff; so hoping to catch up without people constantly interrupting - and coming home around 8pm doesn't leave much me-time. The amount of travel being arranged at the moment is just madness; between now and December I have 2 colleagues travelling to Asia, 3 to the US (one of them twice) and a few short haul trips to France / Switzerland. Flights and hotels have just gotten so expensive; they are definitely trying to make up their losses from the past two years. Then I have four colleagues from the US coming over next week so needed to set up desk space / workstations for them.

But hey; good to be busy (isn't it?   )

Rainy and nippy here today

have a lovely day all x

Lovely fresh baguette with cheese and beetroot, cheese and onion for Grumpy.

Got a little damp leaving the supermarket, but dried out by the time we stopped for a coffee

Lucy was still in bed, but Chris was up, so that's done. Now to finish sorting out that bedroom.

Morning all, it’s dull here. We’re going out later this morning, we want to pop in to see Edward’s sister, then we are going to a mobile phone shop - we want going to change provider and go sim only, so need to know how to start the process. Edward has already applied for the codes to unlock our phones. It all has to be explained to me like I’m five years old  Then back to finish off the post-holiday ironing.

Ally, I’m looking forward to Shetland too, can’t imagine it without Douglas Henshall. I think he has portrayed his growing disenchantment with the job very well.

Afternoon everyone :)

Ally, that’s a perfect temperature :D xx

Jan, cheese and onion is my favourite :) xx

That will be nice, Cruiser :) xx

Ria, that’s going to be a very busy time for you! xx

Saundra we had one of those letters a while back xx

Does sound like an indoors day Jen xx

It’s sunny here, but there’s a definite autumn chill. Am still out in town, met my friend Jenny for a cuppa, and have bought a few token bits for D’s birthday on Friday - her main pressie is a trip to the garden centre for whatever she wants to buy plants-wise and a nice lunch. That will be next week some time as she wants to go to her regular exercise group on Friday. Having another cuppa now in Coffee#1, and will walk up to D’s in a while.

Love to all xxx

Ria,
We have small green biodegradable bags for food waste. Keepone in a plastic bowl in the kitchen. Anythong I can't/won't eat goesm in it.
This includes egg shells bones, apple cores etc. We can get more bags by tying an empty one to the handle of th green bin.

The bin collection and emptying by the local council is one of the very few good things they do.
