Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 05 Oct 2022, 06:18

Good morning.

Another hot sunny day with 32° being forecast. 8-)

I'll have a swim late morning then I'm going to make a tortilla for lunch.
My neighbour left 12 huge eggs at the gate last night. :D

Conor's coming over tea time to watch the Celtic game with Don then he'll head home leaving me to listen to Don and the Birmingham City game.

I'm glad I have my tablet to watch my stuff.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Bit grey ish at the moment, with that dust still lingering, but 31C forecast for later.

It's a holiday here, Independance Day. 1910 when the monarchy was got rid of and the republic was born.

Also Grumpy's 75th birthday :Hi:

I've already had to walk down to the neighbours house and collect stuff he forgot - my fault, apparently, for leaving stuff on the top shelf of the wardrobe I didn't know was there :cute:

Off shopping after coffee, to get a few fresh bits and bobs and then back for a breakfast of his choice - mackerel on toast, with a glass of port. For him, not for me

Out for dinner tonight :Hi:

Head is now a lot clearer, but the throat is still rubbish and I have a very sore nose, from all the blowing yesterday. Grandson is now banned from coming over

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it’s pouring down here and very windy. Still mild though. At least me and Bill got our morning walk before the rain started, we walked for an hour and didn’t see anyone else.

No major plans for today apart from some housework and then the cinema tonight to see Mrs Harris Goes To Paris. John’s appalled at my choice of film  but he’ll be okay with his flask cup of tea and a share bag of Aldi fruit pastilles :P

Hope you’re soon feeling better Jan, make sure you rest x

Have a good day all

Morning all, it’s a damp dreary day here, not raining at the moment but there was heavy rain during the night. Off to the gym this morning, and we get our flu jabs this afternoon. We are expecting our mattress topper to be delivered today. You remember our parcel that was delivered to the wrong address, that DPD said would be retrieved and delivered to us? Mmmm….I got a phone call yesterday from the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, to where it was delivered, a young woman using her head and seeing my number on the label. So we have arranged that I will collect it on Friday, luckily the stop for my bus home is just across from the stage door. She had heard nothing from DPD.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny right now, but it's windy and rain's forecast.

Happy Birthday Grumpy. Enjoy the meal out this evening Jan, hope your cold eases xx

We're very late up, still recovering from the early start yesterday ;) No plans for today, we had planned a walk, but apart from only just having brekkie, the forecast put us off.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Happy birthday to Grumpy, Jan :Hi: It’s 9 years today since we got Fraggle, no idea how old he actually is, we estimate about 11 :D

It’s belted down here, I managed to get myself caught in it on my way out of town   Dripped my way up here to D’s and have dried out  Mick is just finishing off painting her hallway, the carpet comes up and underlay goes down next. Zumba tonight.

Love to all xx

Hello all,

Back late last night from Madeira,

Madeira was very humid and a lot of cloud cover, tourists wise it was heaving .

Very enjoyable though.Time to start looking at next year

Travelling with only hand luggage didn't really work.
We paid for upfront which is supposed to give you more let room ,well if your in row 1 fine, row 2 no it doesn't,and the overhead lockers our cases were halfway down the plane.
Next trip will hold luggage case ( 15 k) and a backpack each -which go under the seat in front of you.

Change of plan here.

Grumpy has come down with the cold too, so I've cancelled dinner out.
