When we go to Miramar we call into Iceland on the way home. I must've bought the sausage ages ago as Don rootled in a freezer this morning and found them. :lol:

Eurgh, plates full of leathery "hotel eggs" as my kids called them; cooked in low temp fat or oil. Disgusting.

Bring on the black pudding, at least it has a taste, unlike the plastic eggs. And bring on fried eggs with crispy skirts done in milloions of dergrees: F or C, they are the only way to go.

Bury Market is the only place which sells real home made black puddings.
They are delicious with a hot English mustard. Sometimes served as a starter at "posh " restaurants.

Yes, my M. was from Lancashire, and growing up, black pudding and mustard spread on a slice of bread and butter was a staple! :D

Full Scottish - mega crispy bacon, square sausage, tattie scones, egg, haggis, and beans. (irn bru not pictured) : r/fryup


Plus it's Lorne sausage in the East, not square. We have Lorne sausage in the freezer because we have a local (ish), Scottish butcher. White puddings arriving on Saturday. We get black pudding from him too. Authentic and tasty, not like the rather dreadful boudin noir they sell here in France.
