Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 11 Dec 2022, 07:02

Good morning.

After last night's shenanigans (we ended up at a party :D ) I'll be very happy to laze on the sofa today.

Craig's making dinner. 8-)

I've missed all of Masterchef since being in the UK but as it's the final tonight I'll watch the semi before it so I know who is who.

I'll catch up on SCD too. ;)

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Wet, windy and very mild.

So windy, we have four big pot plants over, one chair, cushions by the pool, pool cover off and the cat's house in the pool. I've had a wander around and collected a mop bucket - now in bits  no idea where the handle has gone  and picked up other stuff

We also have a leak from the en-suite shower room window. Looks like the seals have gone.

We spent far too much time a the bar yesterday  Mitchell rang and said he was going down for an early beer or two, before the football. We've not seen him for three weeks, as he's been carless, so we met him there. Then Chris and Lucy turned up,t hen David and Rita, so we sort of watched the footie

We'll be having a quiet day today 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all.
Cold, cold. cold.
I wasn't expecting to enjoy the Christmas do last night but I really did. Which is nice.
Bit of a thick head this morning though.
A nice quiet family Sunday dinner and then watch some stuff we have recorded tonight.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all

Cruiser - interesting that you have no frost; it's absolutely freezing here!
Jan, that wind sounds quite something else - wowzer; hope no major damage done anywhere.

Everyone else have a lovely day and stay warm x

DIY morning for me and family dinner later on - perfect day! :D

Morning all :)

Heavy frost here

I survived the football yesterday evening, England didn't, but less said about that the better

We're having a nice lazy Sunday, Strictly and the Masterchef final to look forward to this evening. Roast chicken and veggies for dinner, raspberry blancmange and jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

The bell on the front door of the house of the lady who I get the DM for every day has stopped working. It is wireless operated and is many years old. So I said
I would look on my PC and check which is a good one. Found one from Amazon with two receivers. Ordered on Friday afternoon and delivered at about 6.00 p .m
yesterday.
Have taken it to her this afternoon and she is thrilled with it. Have lent her my new electric drill and a bit. Her grand-son will fix the push button to the bricks
near the front door with my tools. It means I will not have to stand outside in the cold. It is supplied with Rawplugs and screws.
She is very happy with the new bell as it has two recievers so she can have one downstairs and the other one upstairs.

No need for a doorbell here Cruiser. Wouldn't work

The promised rain didn't appear, but we still had to remove another three inches of water out of the pool from last night :?

Been quite mild all day and is also quite warm at night, about 10C more than normal :?
