Morning all, we’re back! It’s bright and sunny here, a very heavy frost last night and the temperature is just above freezing. When we got back yesterday evening the temperature in the house was 6 degrees
So the heat went right on and the gas fire too. We unpacked and I got a wash on, caught up on some recorded stuff and headed to bed early as it had been a long day - has travelling always been so tiring (or am I getting old
) Plenty to do today, Edward has gone to meet his golfing friend for coffee as the golf course is closed. I’m off to the hairdresser at 12pm, have a few phone calls to make, then back to tidy away the last holiday bits and go to the chemist to renew prescriptions. We had a lovely break, a very nice time to go away, everything on the ship was very Christmassy. The cruise was misnamed Dutch Christmas markets but we saw no market in Holland
We saw one in Le Havre, which was a joke, a few stalls and a big wheel. We met a couple we knew on the ship, dancing friends who we had not seen since before the pandemic, so that was a nice surprise. We also met another English couple who were as interested in sequence dancing as we are and we enjoyed an evening of dancing with them. All in all, a great few days away.
