That was mum's rule for cooking chicken, and it always worked perfectly.
Mine didn't, but then you have to turn the oven ON!
I just went to chek on it and give it a basting at its, supposed, half way point.....
Good job I do not do the veg until the chuck is resting.
It will now be an evening meal.
