Good morning you two and everyone - happy Sunday!

Jan, hope you manage to get to see the Dr
Ally, safe travels and have a fabulous time

I was up at 7am, 10 mins later a WhatsApp from a colleague who was due to fly to the US today - he's not well and unable to fly so cue logging on to cancel everything - so here I am :)

a lovely sunny but cold start to the day here; I managed to weed one of the flower beds yesterday and it was so so cold (it's in shade) so today I'm going to be in the greenhouse to clean up that to get ready for spring. At least it'll be warm in there, esp when the sun shines and the door is closed! :D

Hope you all have a lovely day xxx

There are times when this country does my head in

Centro de saude opens at 8.00. I was there at five to and was third in the queue
~
~25 past, the first one goes in, ten to, the second. I was quarter past nine

Got thr prescription no prob, over to the chemist, which opens at 9.30.

You needto measure your leg here, here and here, she said

Back home, just having a quick coffee, then back out again, to order the blasted things, then we'll have a cooked breakfast and get out in the garden, planting some aloe's we cut off the main plants and some spikey things.

Sun is out 8-)

Morning all :)

Safe travels Al :D xxx

Jan, believe you me it’s MUCH harder to access the doctors here - you and Ally did the right thing emigrating 8-) xxx

Hope you get your lawn mowed, Vic. Mick managed to do ours in the week - it’s crazy how much grass grows during the winter now! xx

Ria it’s a lovely day for gardening here :) Will see if anything needs doing when we get round to D’s xx

Sun’s out, it’s a bit chilly but not too bad :) We’re just finishing up breakfast at Portivo’s and I fancy a nice walk round the docks with Fraggle. Round to see D afterwards. Cottage pie for lunch later, then Chris is dropping in on his way back from a meeting in Stroud :D So looking forward to seeing him. He said not to cook, but I will save him some cottage pie, just in case. Otherwise there’s sandwich stuff etc, as it will most likely be teatime when he arrives. Looking forward to the TV later - DOI then the finale of Call The Midwive 8-)

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning all.
Not a bad day here. Sunny but still a bit chilly.
Safe travels Ally. Hopefully you are sorted after all the faff Jan. Good idea about the greenhouse Ria. Our lawn is looking a bit long too Vic, but it's too damp for a cut. Well done getting rid of the junk Saundra! Yes Kaz, seeing a doctor isn't the easiest thing.
A usual Sunday for us. Son and daughter are coming over for Sunday dinner.

I am pondering on the imponerables of the Universe, such as "Why are chicken Oxos so much harder than beef Oxos?".
Crumbling the chicken ones today with my fingers wasn't too bad; last week I thought that I was going to have to go to the garage and get the 4lb lump hammer out to them.

Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s sunny but breezy here and looks chilly. Having a lazy day here, with Edward psyching himself up for the big match today at Wembley, I see from Twitter that Jo is already on the train. I’ll try and do some of my jigsaw this afternoon, or read, and close my ears to the swearing (and maybe cheering) coming from Edward!

Jan, I’m amazed at the convoluted doctor system you gave to negotiate. I rang our surgery on Friday to make an appointment for any day next week or the week after - medication review so no rush. I was fully prepared to wait 15 minutes or so to speak to someone, but answered straight away and I have an appointment for Monday morning!
