Special Stamps

Went to buy the new special stamps at the main post office in the centre of Wigan. These are the ones with the Queen's head on and
the Flying Scotsman. Had to repeat myself several times before the understood what I wanted. Werte trying to sell me book of stamps.
Finaly told me they are only available at the post office which is in Asda. This is only accessible by car. Found out when I went that they will
only be issued ob 9th March 2023. So will have to make another journey to Asda.

I'm still waiting to see a King Charles 50p piece, Cruiser. They were supposed to be rolling them out ages ago, but every time I've asked in the local Post Office (which fronts for a banking hub in this neck of the community), they tell me they've never seen one either!

I cannot remember that last time I bought any stamps. When I have things to post I take them to the PO counter in the Co-op and let the staff do the stamping, and when it comes to money I couldn't care less whose head is in the coin / bill so long as I can spend them.
