Good morning.

Summer is definitely here. Forecast 27° but it got way warmer than that yesterday. 8-)

Meeting David for lunch and a few beers. Parasol essential.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Fog seems to be coming in rather than going away at the moment  Cold too. 25C for us later and back down to 7C at night.

Off to Ourique soon, do the supermarkets and then we need to get some more chicken wire, so a tree and a couple more shrubs can go in.

Grumpy can finish off the strimming he was doing yesterday and I'll prep dinner.

Might pop down the bar later, we'll see.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning you two and everyone

we can only but dream of double digits temperatures, esp those tthat start with a 2  down to -1 last night and expecting around 0 tonight; day time highs about 8 today; warming up to just over 10 over the weekend.

I'm not sure if I'm going into the office later today or wfh - tube strike in London means quite a few colleagues will be wfh; so no point me going in. I've also - whenever possible if no early client meetings - adjusted my working routine in that I log on and work at home from 7.30 - 9am (which would be my usual commute time); and then leave home at 9.30 which means train travel is £6 cheaper.

Ally enjoy the lunch and Jan, hope you get all the bits and bobs you need in Ourique and get the shrubs and tree in.

have a lovely day all x

Good morningeverybody,
A very cold start. There was frost on the car when i wentfor the paper. The sun has come out but it is still cold.
Am havingthe stair liftserviced this morning. It is striped down and all moving parts checked and lubricated. I think it cost £60.00 last year but worth it.
Will then be going to Halfords. I am runninout of de-icer formthe car and also want to go to Asda which is in the same area.
Then back home to finish the ironing.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all, it’s wet and miserable here and it vaguely amuses me that Jan’s nighttime temperature of 7 degrees is higher than today’s current day time here of 4 degrees. Today I’ll finish the ironing and also need to go to the post office to take out money. On the way, I’ll pop into the nail bar and make an appointment for a pedicure and eyebrow tint on Monday. I’ll get a manicure the following Saturday, the day before we go away, I think I will also have another practice makeup session for the 60s night, I bought a liquid eyeliner yesterday and we’ll see how steady my hand is

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

There was a time when I wouldn't go out without eyeliner Osc, but that was many years ago, not sure I'd be able to put it on now.

Expecting a parcel sometime before 1.30pm, but other than that nothing much happening.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all.
Frost and ice here at the start of the day, but all gone now.

I'm not jealous. Oh no. (he lied).

MrsC is going to the library soon.
I missed the parish council meeting last night. I have had an answer from the local district council to my freedom of information request.
Apparently for the financial year 2021-22 the district council received a shade over £3.5 million in council tax from this village.
Not bad.
I don't know how it's being spent, but it sure isn't on the roads in the village.

Have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone :)

It's pouring down here again! :cute:  Went into town to meet J for a cuppa, and to pick up our Euros for the holiday 8-) Round to D's to shout at the Chancellor on the telly  Then back here for me to do the last of the ironing :)

I can never draw a straight line with eyeliner, which is why I use a crayon one

Love to all :) xx
