Good morning.

It was 41° sitting on the runway yesterday and although not as hot when I landed in Glasgow there was certainly no need for the Levi jacket I'd packed.

Within 80 minutes of landing I'd checked into the hotel and was having a pint of cider with my friends at dad's local. :D

This morning I'm going to Tesco first to buy some different bunches of flowers and some boxes of biscuits.

Meeting a friend in Café T for a cuppa and a toasted sandwich at 9.30.

My cousin Ivor is picking me up at 10.30 and first port of call is my lovely Aunt Maureen.

On to Cambusnethan cemetery to 'visit' mum and dad.

Next is Airbles Road cemetery for my gran's grave.

Pub lunch with Ivor.

He'll drop me back at the hotel where I'll collect the rest of the flowers and biscuits and visit Betty and John. (Mum and dad's next door neighbours.)

Then...if I can manage it... Merelin (she'd bought dad's house) has asked if I'd like to pop in and see her and her wee boy Oscar.
Merilin still keeps in touch with us on a Whatsapp group and only last week had sent some beautiful photos of Oscar playing in the garden.
Hopefully I'll feel that I can manage to do it.

After all that I'll go back to the hotel for a regroup.

Meeting some friends tonight for a few drinks and a feast at a Chinese restaurant. :D

I think that's my lot for the day.

Have a good one.

And I won't be missing the 43° that Don will be having today.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Rather warm already and the washing will dry in about half an hour

Enjoy your rather busy day Ally xx

Day two of wedding anniversary and it looks like we'll be getting a great present :Hi: :Hi: Gaby and Joaquinha are off on a car hunting jolly this morning. They've picked out three cars near Lisbon and two near Porto to have a look at for us. Cars are much, much cheaper further nort. Grumpy signed all sorts of paperwork yesterday, so if they see one, they'll buy it :Hi: :Hi:

Other than that, Grumpy is digging a hole  We have to have a new car port, so one of the lemon trees has to go. We're hoping it will transplant okay, if not, we'll have to get another one.

I will be in and out of the pool 8-)

Out for dinner tonight.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning everyone.

Ally that sounds very lovely, and very busy! It’s nice that Merilin keeps in touch, sending you a (((((((hug))))))

Jan, hope the car hunt is successful :D xx

Feeling worried about our Saundra, see my separate post. I will update as soon as I get any news, you may be sure! I am meeting my friend Em in town. She’s really having a hard time at the moment as her mum is very ill, and having palliative care. They’re very close, mum is 92 and Em is pretty much her unofficial carer. I’m being as supportive as I can.

Love to all xxx

Morning all. Much fresher here than of late.
That is a busy day Ally! Hope you get the car sorted Jan (Why are they cheaper in the north?). You are a good friend Kaz. Hope Em is OK.
Our daughter and family get back from Menorca today. We need to scoot around and get some stuff for them to put in their fridge before they get back, also pay a bill ourselves etc.
Have a good day everyone.

No idea Crommers.

You get more car dealers up there than down in the Algarve.

Our Honda is from Cascais, near Lisbon and that was a bargain at 4,000€. But we're paying up to 10,000€ for this one.

Morning all :D

Windy and a bit cooler here.

Busy day for you Ally.
Hope the car search works out Jan.
Difficult times for Em, she's lucky to have your support Kaz.
Safe journey home for your family Crommers.

Will probably do a bit of garden tidy up later, also got a Tesco delivery later this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s a bit fresher here, lots of cloud around but lovely and warm in the sun. I’ve been out already, collecting Michael and bringing himself and Edward to the golf club. Then I’m picking Kellie up from school and dropping her home - SIL is working from home but has a meeting around that time. I’ve been to the post office - Dept of Social Welfare is means testing me again for my dependent adult pension :x They did it last year for the first time in 10 years so I don’t know why they are doing it again. I had copied last year’s form and there was little difference in the figures that I have sent them this time. Everything sent off and fingers crossed! My brother is coming to stay tomorrow night so I need to get his room ready and also book somewhere for us to eat out, my sister will join us.

Very worrying news about Saundra, I hope we will hear better news soon.

Am now back home and going to have lunch. Got a lovely gammon sandwich made fresh while I was out.

Just pootling this afternoon
Have a good day everybody
