hello and good morning all
Kaz, I've got friends on holiday in Rhodes at the moment; they were transferred from their hotel last night and moved to one in Rhodes Town and passed the wildfires on their way - less than 10mins drive from their original hotel. I gather they now have made the decision to cut their holiday short and come home on the next available flight - so sad for them. I was saying to my sister that my heart breaks for the locals there - most rely on the summer tourism for their livelihood and this is going to hit really hard, esp after just starting to recover post Covid. And also the loss of wildlife and flora
Jan enjoy the dinner. Will there be celebrations and parade type things in town today?
Ally, Crommers and Osc, enjoy your respective days doing the bits and bobs - Ally have a fab lunch!
well same as most here in the UK, very changeable weather. Beautiful sunshine this morning and the forecasts I looked at said no rain for the day so I've risked it and hung the washing out on the line. Just hope the forecasts are right and I don't come home to wet stuff
. Apparently our night time temperature today is going to drop right down to 9 degrees - that's just absolutely bonkers for July (nearly August!).
Have a lovely day all x
