Good morning.

Craig's got a meeting in Leicester today.

Don and myself are going to walk into Sherwood for a leisurely mooch and brunch. :D

Late afternoon we're doing something we haven't done since 2012.

Going to the cinema!

We've booked to see Oppenheimer at a 4pm screening. :D

By the time we get home chef Craig will have made inroads to dinner.

Have a great day.

Morning everyone

Sunny and calm this morning. Not a breath of wind, Think it must have blown itself out over the last couple of days

Off to Ourique soon, get the shopping out of the way before it warms up.

General pootling for the rest of day. Which basically means, pool, read, beer, dinner

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all.
Enjoy Oppenheimer Ally and the pool Jan. I read about the Battle of Orique the other day btw, good old Afonso the conqueror!
We have Eliza for the day and the evening to recover.
It started off sunny here but is clouding over now.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all, it’s sunny at the moment but heavy rain is forecast for later.

Nothing exciting happening here today. Might do some food shopping later.

Saw Oppenheimer last night, excellent acting although a very long film at just over 3 hours. Maybe a tad too long, quite a :) :) few people left half an hour before the end.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, it’s grey and inclined to be drizzly here :( Thankfully I got a load of washing dry yesterday so that will need ironing today. I will also pop to the post office to take out some money. We’ll also run through the dances we will be doing at tomorrow’s practice. So just a humdrum sort of day.

Morning all :D

Lovely and sunny 8-)

Alison the promised nurse arrived just before 3pm yesterday afternoon, she was happy the fluid coming out of the wound is okay, but she was concerned the knee is a bit warm so she's put him on antibiotics, with Ed's history, better safe than sorry. She also said he looks really pale, he does, so she's taken bloods and is getting them checked too. All very thorough. He's feeling a lot better this morning, still pale, but hasn't got that ghastly putty look. Haven't heard anything about the blood tests yet, will check his patient access site shortly to see if they've come back. The nurse did say if we didn't hear from the surgery today to chase it up.

Not planning much for today, rushing into town for Ed's meds didn't do my ankle any favours, it's all the cobble stones in the town centre.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Hello all

Ally have a lovely day and enjoy the cinema
Jan, I'd happily have your type of day - pool, book and beer (well in my case wine) sounds just perfect!
Crommers, that made me giggle - needing the evening to recover. Hope you have a lovely day with the little whirlwind
Jo and Osc, hope you both enjoy the rest of the day doing whatever it is you end up doing - don't overdo that ironing though Osc
Jen, that sounds much more promising re E... hopefully he's better a bit every day

Well, another work in the office day for me - client meeting this afternoon. My friends in Rhodes haven't been able to get an earlier flight back so are staying until Friday as originally planned. My day will be spent (besides working that is  ) looking at hair dryers. Mine went snap crackle and then pop the other day and I'm struggling to find a replacement - I'm really fussy re size and how loud they are; unfortunately they don't make the one I have anymore  . And the price of some of them is absolutely eye watering!!!!

Have a fab day everyone!

Ria, I have a Dyson hairdryer. It falls in the expensive bracket but I’ve had it for five years (and it still looks like new) and it’s brilliant. Small yet very powerful, not too noisy and it dries my thick and just past shoulder length hair very quickly, plus the attachments fit by magnet and don’t fall off when in use.
My hairdresser has actually fitted out the salon with them as she’s so impressed.

Good evening everyone :)

Ally, they have talkies now and everything! :P ;) :D xx

Hope you enjoyed your pootling, Jan :) xx

Crommers    xx

Jo, I have been seriously tempted by the snazzier hairdryers but I actually settled on a Braun hot air brush which gets a little bit of volume into my short layers :) xx

Osc, it's vile here, really wet  :cute: xx

Jen, I hope the antibiotics do the trick! Sending my best to E xx

Must be quite a concerning situation for your friends, Ria :? Hopefully the next couple of days will pass safely for them until their flights home. Fingers crossed XX

I went into town early to meet J for a cuppa at 10, did some food shopping in M&S and then found a fantastic bargain in TK Maxx - a navy blue cropped cardigan, from Boden, with 75% off the original price :D Up to D's to meet Mick and have lunch, then we came home.

I must give credit where it's due, I rang our surgery at around 3pm to request an appointment for something that's been concerning me, I got a GP call back half an hour later, and at 4pm was at the surgery being seen, had bloods taken and a request for a scan arranged! Very impressed with the improvement there :D

I was going to Zumba, but have changed my mind, it's belting down out there!I

Love to all :D xxx

The wood has arrived, Grumpy was very happy, talking to it

He left me at the bar, when the delivery guy turned up.

Huge fire down in the Algarve, near the border with the Alentejo. Got four planes and heaven knows how many helicopters taking up water from the nearby lakes. We could see the smoke (and smell it) but although can't see anything now, the fire sites say it's still on-going.

Too far away to worry us, thankfully. So far, we've been very lucky, with only two big fires, this one and one near Lisbon.

Tuna fish cakes for dinner, with salad. Lovely, just right for a rather warm evening.
