When mum died in 1981 sis and I inherited 300 PBs - 150 each.

Mum used to get two or three smaller prizes each year and the money used to go in the Clarice Cliff tea caddy proudly sitting on the sideboard "for a rainy day".

However, since sis and I became the owners 42 years ago we have not won a single penny - zilch, nada, SFA.

I won something over 40 years ago. But since then nothing. I must go back and see if it is address based. i.e. we haven't updated the address info so can't receive any notification.

As I posted elsewhere, we were notified we'd won £50 this month - that's our first win in 3 years and the first one ever over £25!

Our holding's around £2,100. The £2K was a deliberate investment, but the £100 really resulted from back when Mrs O and I were courting. We'd go out to explore the countryside around Birmingham, and our custom was that we'd always pop into the local village Post Office - yes, open on a Saturday - and buy a £5 bond as a "souvenir" with the Post Office official branch stamp on it! Life was a lot simpler and much more enjoyable in those days ......

It’d be the late 70s when our great aunt gave me, my sister and our cousin £100 each in premium bonds.
I’m the only one who has ever won and that was £25 around 10 years ago.

I have some. I get £25.00 at least once a year and sometimes £50.00.

I am keeping them there as I may get the big one.
