I have a cold.

Postby Workingman » 04 Nov 2023, 12:09

A real stinker. Someone on the train after the Brum meet must have had one and passed it on. I felt it coming on yesterday and now my eyes are runny, nose and ears blocked and a raking cough. Everything aches.

I was sent some Covid test kits earlier in the year so gave one a go, just in case, and it came back clear. I hoped it would because I had both the Covid and Flu jabs about a month ago.

I have the makings of a hot toddy on the go so I'll take a good glug of that then back to bed.

Feel better soon Frank.

I was just coming to say the same, I’m blaming Joe as he’s had a sore throat all week but his has stayed at that. I felt mine starting on Thursday afternoon and while I’m not yet too sneezy, the sore throat is still there, I can’t get warm,I’m achy and my ears are blocked.

I’ve done a Covid test and it’s negative but I’ll do another later. When I had it last Autumn it took five days before I got a positive. Like you though, I had both jabs last month.

Well, that hot toddy and sleep did me well. I took a few prescription co-codamols also.

I kept the bedroom cool with the transom open to keep the air fresh, but it is nice to be back in the warm lounge with the heating on.

Thanks all, the vibes are working. :D

Saun, I have chickenish broth on the go just now. It's old chicken bones and other bits from the freezer with some veg.

I do it regularly and then freeze it into stock cubes.
