Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 07 Nov 2023, 06:31

Good morning.

Another action packed day on the cards.

First thing I'm doing this morning is going into my Ryanair account and booking myself a case home.
I came over with my usual 10kg carry on case and rucksack but have bought so much I need more luggage.

Dunelm with sis first then meeting uncle Stefan at noon for a light lunch. :D

Next are visits to aunt Maureen, cousin Gary and his wife Mel, aunt Jean and then an old family friend. :D

Tonight we're going out for a meal with two old school friends. :D

I should think, like last night, we'll be zonked out in bed by 11pm.

Have a great day.

Don and Conor are getting the 8.58am AVE train to Madrid to go to the Athletico Celtic game tonight. :D :D

Thinking of you today Kaz. xxx

Morning everyone

Sunny again but by heck, it was another cold night

Washing will be out later and so are we

Off to lunch at the Palma, in Ourique. They have three different prata de dia-s as well as a good normal menu, so looking forward to that.

Somehow or other, I seem to have hayfever  and have gone through so many packets of tissues in the last week. Only for a few hours in the morning

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all :)

Thanks Ally :) You will definitely need that case ;) Enjoy the family visits :) xx

Your lunch out sounds nice, Jan xx

It looks like a bright day here, hopefully it will stay like that for this afternoon. 1.30 at the church, then the crem and a wake afterwards at Hatton Court.

Spending the morning on ironing and packing for us going away tomorrow - really looking forward to some "us" time.

Have a good day everyone xx

Hello all and good morning

Ally, I'd struggle going anywhere with just a 10kg luggage allowance; I always end up buying something that's either going to be bulky or heavy  Enjoy your day out with sis
Jan, sunny and cold here as well - also got washing on the line :D Enjoy your lunch, and I hope you manage to figure out what you might be reacting to; have you changed your laundry detergent (ie bedding) or changed toiletries - the scent could be the culprit?
Kaz, hope the weather holds for this afternoon.

Office day for me today, but aiming to leave a bit earlier than normal. An old family friend from SA is over visiting her dad (he's 82) and she's worried about him when she leaves; so between Nadine, another friend Susan and I we said we'd make sure he's OK. So I'm going to pop over there after work to meet him so at least he knows one of us. Hopefully working from home the rest of the week

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, it’s a nice bright sunny one here and Edward has gone to play golf. My day will mostly be taken up with h/work - ironing, and I will change our bed. But first I’ll go for a bit of a walk, there are some letters here for Miss Osc so I’ll pop them in her office letterbox as I pass by.

Hope today goes as well as it can this afternoon, Kaz. Where are you off to, I seem to have missed that?

Good morning everybody.

There has ben some rain. It is only 14C. There are some blue patches in the sky but still some grey clouds.
Have been to town. Went early to get a good parking spot. Got a sandwich freshly made for lunch, had anew battery in a watch, took some items to a charity shop.
Then had a cup of tea at a cafe I always visit.

I was waiting for a shop which does alterations. Only opens at 10.00 a.m . I was having some curtains altered. Will be taking the old curtains down and putting the others up.

Kaz, Hope everything goes according to plan. I am going to a funeral on Thursday. A friend who used to wor at the firm I did. l expect the church will be full as he was very popular.

Then just pootling.
Have a good day everybody

Good morning.
Cold here but quite light.
Celtic have a tough match tonight Ally; Atletico are a very good side.
Hay fever Jan?
Another steady day here; we are having Eliza this afternoon and we are making a cottage pie, which she likes.
I'm off for a paper and some cash from the atm and that's about as exciting as things get today.
Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Thanks for all the good wishes. Mr Mostofi is very pleased with how the op went. He showed us the x-rays taken just after and boy there are a lot of great long screws, 7 in all. I told him about my mishaps and he said he was pretty confident that many would have kept everything in place. I thought I was having an x-ray done, but he said he would arrange it for when I see him again in 4 weeks time. Tbh I would feel happier if it had been done yesterday, but I have to trust he knows best. After seeing him I went in to the plaster room where I had my wound looked at and the clips removed, Didn't like that at all, was very glad our neighbour drove Ed so he could be with me. I'm now sporting a very bright red cast.

Will do a separate post about the nightmare hospital saga.
Intend to have a very lazy day, too tired to do much.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Osc, we’re having two nights in Devon :) Becky bought us one of those gift vouchers to book a break, so we’re using it for Mick’s birthday on Thursday.

Today went very well, thanks everyone :) xx
