Vic, this could be tricky depending on the new language, it depends. If the device language is changed all the menus will be in the new language. If it is a European language you might be able to have a guess and get going again, but if it is something like Thai or Cambodian..... then what?
However, here are some tips. Go to Settings, it will be a blue icon with a cog in the middle regardless of language, and tap. Now scroll down all the items until you get to the icon with three horizontal bars with dots on, something like:

----o- This indicates General management
-o----
Tap on that icon and the very first option is Language. Tap on that and the list of languages comes up and they are in the script normally used in that language. English UK should be the one you want.
If it only comes up in the language already selected there should be a + sign to add other languages and that brings up the full list.
