Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 08 Nov 2023, 06:09

Good morning.

Another busy day on the cards.

Shopping first. :D

Meeting uncle Stanley at noon to take him to a garden centre where we'll all have lunch. :D

Visit Nancy (I was at her husband Robert's funeral last month.)

Fiona's next for a cuppa and cake. :D

Two different cemeteries to pay our respects.

Visit old family friends Lena and John.

Pop in and see mum and dad's next-door neighbours Betty and John. :D

And that's it!

Pizza takeaway for dinner. :D

Have a great day.

Safe travels Kaz and have a lovely break. X

Despite Celtic getting tonked Don and Conor had a fantastic day yesterday and I suspect there might be a couple of delicate heads on the train home this afternoon.

Morning all :)

That's a very busy day Ally :D Glad Don and Conor enjoyed the match, and thank you :) xx

It's been raining here, I hope the weather is better down in Devon :cute:  Becky has taken Fraggle to work with her! She did have three days off booked to look after him but the temp let them down. B said she'd give up her leave if they allowed her to bring Fraggle, and they agreed   For context her reception is in its own little office by the security gates, so fairly isolated  They've also paid for taxis so she doesn't have to get the bus

Looking forward to our break :Hi: I still need to pack and we haven't had breakfast yet, so had better crack on.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone

Sun now out although it is cool this morning.

Safe journey Kaz, have a lovely time xx

Washing out, should dry, unless we get showers as we did yesterday

Off to do the supermarket shopping,, pit stop for coffee, then breakfast.

Then I'll head out and do some stuff outside, getting rid of dead bits on the daisies, pulling up lavender.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello you three and everyone

Ally, have a fab day and don't forget to catch you breath at some point - that's a lot of to'ing and fro'ing in one day :D But lovely to manage to see so many people x
Kaz, safe travels and fingers crossed for good weather. Good on Becky's company to pay for the taxi.
Jan, have a good day also, enjoy pootling in the garden

Dull, grey and wet here today. Vet appointment this morning and then the usual mix of work and pootle. I have friend coming over today and she'll be with me for 2 nights so I need to sort the bedding and clean the house  Oh and get food for dinner

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

Morning all.
Safe travels to Kaz.
Grey and wetter than a haddock's vest here.
MrsC is going over to our son's to tidy up in a mo.
There's a draught coming through our bedroom windows even though they are shut. They are upvc that have been in for more than fifteen years and maybe the rubber seals have perished a bit.
looks like a crossword / reading sort of day.
Have a good one everybody.

Morning all, it’s a pleasant morning here, but cold. I need to head off to a hardware shop to get a new ironing board, the old one had a nasty fall and ended up all skewiff. This afternoon, Michael is coming here for a while - we are buying him new golf shoes for his birthday so we’ll go to the local golf shop to see what they have. His birthday is on the 19th, he’ll be 14, how did that happen  This evening we are going to a dance class, we normally don’t do that but the teacher will be teaching some new dances that we are keen to learn.

Kaz, safe journey and I hope the weather is kind. Ally, you’ll need a rest when you get home!

Morning all :D

Wet and windy

Safe journey Kaz, sorry I missed where you are going, hope it's somewhere nice.
Blimey Osc 14, where do the years go :?

Up a bit earlier this morning, Ed's got a physio appointment at 2pm. I know it sounds as though we have plenty of time, but it takes ages for me to have a wash and get dressed, only just had brekkie. It would take a couple of hours there and back on the bus plus the half hour session, Dave our lovely neighbour will take him so he's not gone too long. I'll be set up in the bedroom before he goes, goodness knows how people on their own cope, I suppose they have to remain bed bound until they can walk again.

No other plans today. I'm having chicken curry for dinner, no wonder I love him so much, he'll deserve a medal by the time I'm walking again.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Osc, 14! Where do the years go? xx

Teignmouth, Jen, just for two nights :)

Thanks everyone, just arrived. The hotel is very comfy, slightly old-fashioned but none the worse for that 8-) It has several acres of grounds, and a gate that gives direct access to the seafront :D We've just unpacked and are about to go for a walk :D
