Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up

It was 11C when I got up. It is now 15C with the CH on and getting warmer.

Had a lovely time at the Carol concert at Blackburn cathedral last night. Lots of the old carols with every verse. And some new jazzed up ones sung by a local choir group.
The cathedral wasnearly full. It was in aid of a local children's hospice. Before the service started evrybody was chatting. A very friendly time.

When I got back to my car there was a young lady trying to defrost her car. So I used my scrapper to remove the ice from her car windows as well as mine. otmusc traffic
on the motoway on the way home.

This morning going tothe chemistto pickup one item of my presrition. Then to town as I want two large envelopes and some other things.
Back home it will just be pootling.
Have a good day everybody.

No reading for me today.

Been asked out for lunch so I'll be sitting dining in the sun. 8-)

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning, but it's rather chilly :o

Think I'll be heading outside when it warms up a little more, dig up the unwanted mahoosive weeds we get which try and take over, so nothing else can grow and chuck 'em over the fence. We still have sheep in the field, so they'll enjoy a treat.

Meeting friends down at the bar this afternoon, although we tend to get there quite early now and leave by 4.30, when it gets too cold to sit outside.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Glad you enjoyed the concert Cruiser, it sounds lovely :)

Morning troops :D

Freezing fog here! :x  We’re in Portivo waiting for Em and Dave, they’re joining us for breakfast :D We’ll go to D’s afterwards, then tonight I’ll be prepping a sausage casserole for the slow cooker.

Keep warm everyone xxx

Morning all :)

Dull, overcast and cold brrrr

Well as expected Z and family won't be with us today, shame but much as we'll miss them we'd rather not catch their colds. Means our lunch numbers are now down to 7, but I'm sure we'll have a lovely time. It's a double celebration as it's Ed's birthday today, he's 71 shhhh, think he's trying to catch up with me

Not sure what I'm wearing, I'm sporting a rather fetching bright red hospital sock to cover my toes on the cast leg, dangles a bit, but matches perfectly. Ed plans to be his usual dapper self 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, sunny and cold here, temperature outside just under 2 degrees, but the sort of winter weather I like. We are getting ready to head off to Carlow later for our dance night away. Christmas dinner and lots of dancing, Christmas officially starts today! The organiser always does a super job, with decorations and lots of spot and raffle prizes. Everything is almost packed, just the toilet bags and a few other bits - usual goingawayinthecar syndrome, bring lots of stuff!! Edward has been busy setting up his new Alexa, for which we drove an hour in rush hour traffic yesterday evening, on a journey that usually takes half that time  Then the M50 was busy which meant we were a little late to dancing, but others were delayed by traffic too. Back tomorrow afternoon.
