Good morning everybody,

It is 12C, The CH boiler is notworking again. Have just been onto the company and they are coming out first call tomorrow morning.
It is raining with grey clouds. So it looks as if it is for a long time.
Am going to have my eyes tested this morning. I have them checked every year. Thi is with an optician. I also have them checked by an eye consultant
under the NHS. This is usually done in March.

Then back home to finish writing the cards and putting the decorations up.
Have tried the stuffing which you can buy and cook. Nothiong like my mother used to make when she would cook a chicken or turkey. She used to make it herself.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a miserable wet one here, which is fine as I have quite a list to get through. It includes cleaning our bathroom, making some buns for tomorrow when Michael and Kellie will be here to decorate our tree. Said tree and decorations have to come down from the attic today. I want to sign on for the next term of my mobility class, put a wash in the machine then peg it on the drying rail in the utility room. I’m also going to post the overseas cards and take out some money, which unfortunately involves going outside in the rain :( Oh - suddenly we have water leaking in from outside near the the hatch to the terrace - something for Edward to add to his list today, investigating where it is coming from :o Better get started on it all!

Morning all :)

Wet again

I can't eat the packet stuffing Cruiser. I buy ours from M&S, it's in a tray and ready to pop into the oven, yummy, it's the nearest I've found to my Mother's own home cooked stuffing which was delicious.

Yesterday's appointment went well, Mr Mostofi was really pleased with the x-ray. It shows some small movement of the screws. but no more than he would expect :D :D After that it was in to the plaster room and my cast is no more. I have the most enormous heavy boot, luckily it can be taken off at night and whenever I'm on my bottom so only needed when I'm standing. Then it was over to physio to collect some crutches, we already have a walking frame Ed used when he first came home and she advised starting with that. I'm allowed to put my foot down very lightly, not to actually walk, basically it's a shuffle. She said to practice every day and build it up gradually, over the next 6 weeks.

It felt nice getting into bed without the cast, but my ankle did ache a lot, I suppose the plaster was giving it a bit of support. Woke up twice, but did manage to stay in bed until 9.30am. Feeling rather pleased with myself right now, actually managed to shuffle in the boot from the bathroom to the lounge 8-) Sounds great doesn't it, but we do live in a little bungalow  The shuffling is quite painful so I'm back on the painkillers. I'll be seeing Mr Mostofi again in 6 weeks and he says if I persevere I should be walking without pain within 3 months, so far so good, whoop whoop :D :D :D

Apart from lots of shuffling no other plans for the day, we're expecting a Tesco delivery later this afternoon. Think Ed's cooking me sausages and veggies for dinner later, he really is looking after me so well.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s finally stopped raining. It started on Sunday afternoon so we’ve had around two days of it.

Bill got his walk a little late today, we went out at around 2. I’d have taken him a bit earlier but was waiting for Royal Mail to collect a parcel. He was glad to stretch his legs but not so happy about having to paddle through water on the paths. Just glad my wellies don’t leak in!

John and Joe have just gone for a 5 mile run. Sausages and veg for them and Tom for tea, I made a casserole for myself yesterday so I’ll have another portion of that.

Glad all went well Jen

Have a good evening all :)
