Good morning Christmas Eve Sunday

Postby Ally » 24 Dec 2023, 06:26

Good morning.

Another gorgeous sunny day forecast. 8-)

Going for a walk with Don to Guadalmar. :D

We're going out for lunch earlier than normal as absolutely every pub and restaurant will be closed by 6pm.
Tonight is the night all families eat together and the meal has many courses and lasts for hours.

We've got pizza for later whilst watching TV.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

We are sat up above the mist, which is just beginning to go and the sun is out.

Not a lot going on here, most of the cafe-s shut on a Sunday in Ourique as well as our local bar, so we will be staying here.

Having lamb cutlets on the bbq this afternoon, probably sat in t/shirts, as it will be rather warm in the sun. If we have the bbq at the back of the house, it will be jumpers, jackets and hats

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all, we’re up and getting reading for our traditional Christmas Eve trip into town. It’s dry and very mild although breezy. Looking forward to seeing the lights and soaking up atmosphere. We’ll have lunch somewhere, we usually try Brown Thomas (Dublin’s Harrods) but if we don’t get in there, we will get in somewhere. Edward woke at 3am and put on the ham to cook in the slow cooker, it has turned out very well.

That's an oversight!

Good morning all.
Another grey and damp one here.
All has been safely gathered in, so we are all set for tomorrow.
A quiet day, we will watch Mog's Christmas on the TV and I'll have a bacon sandwich for tea.
MrsC is baking, the house smells lovely.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny :D not expecting it to last, but it's lovely streaming through our back windows.

Agree, a definite oversight Crommers

I've drowned the bathroom washing my hair, water everywhere  it's not easy sitting in a chair and trying to bend over the sink!! Absolutely nothing planned for today, we intend to be extremely lazy and will probably have a little tipple after dinner this evening. Ed's doing an easy chilli.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Merry Christmas Eve everyone :)

It’s a dry day here too. We went out for brunch to save me cooking lunch, as I have so much prep for tomorrow. B is making a pasta something for dinner tonight. We got home, Mick has vacuumed round, I dusted and cleaned the downstairs cloakroom. I’ve started the base of my raspberry trifle, and we’re about to go to pick up my click&collect from Sainsbury’s - turkey crown, gammon joint, and a few trimmings. Round to see D after that, she’s still not very well, which is a bit worrying :o

We’re expecting Em and Dave round a bit later this afternoon for a cuppa and some mince pies, which will be nice :) Christopher is coming in the morning, so we’ll have a brunch of bacon rolls and some of D’s homemade sausage rolls, and take the day from there :)

Much love to each and every one of you, and your families :) xxx
