Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JanB » 31 Jan 2024, 07:18

Morning everyone

Foggy again.

Off to Beja Hospital soon, for them to have a look see and hopefully remove, the granulomas. Might have to go back, but hopefully, I'll get a letter saying to go to the Centro de Saude.

Back to make the stew I didn't yesterday

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Just anither day pootling. Still looking for the papers I had when I had the new kitchen installed. It includes a plan, receipts, a brochure.
I do not think I would throw it away,

Good morning folks.

And good luck with the hospital, Jan.

It's dry, the first time in ages, but with very high cloud, and cold.

For the last week I have been trying to get blankets. You know, blanket type blankets, not throws, runners, wraps or whatever they are called nowadays. I tried Dunelm, the Range, B&M - all the usual places - but no luck. So.... down in Otley there is a sort of Army and Navy store, it might be worth a drive out. It'll give me something to do.

Have a good say everyone and keep warm and dry.

Morning all :)

Good luck, Jan :) xx

Have a good one, Al :D xx

Happy looking Cruiser, I hope you find them xx

Frank, to be honest I would try Amazon :cute: xx

Dull day here, not too cold. Going into town to meet J, then will probably walk up to D's. Zumba tonight. Got the washing in the dryer already - Mick will keep an eye on it, then meet me up at D's later. Fraggle had his claws clipped yesterday, and had a once over at the same time. He's carrying a little winter weight, but then aren't we all? :P

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, it’s grey and cold here. I’m getting my hair done, cut and colour, at 12.30, I always enjoy that. Thank goodness it’s the last day of January, it always feels like it is about six weeks long. I need to go to the post office to take out money and also to post off a jigsaw to a friend’s wife. There’s a wash in the machine and dry stuff to be put away. Edward has just gone to the golf shop, there’s a problem with something he bought there and it is still under guarantee, thankfully his secretarial wife had kept the receipt ;) Right, better get on.

Kaz, I did try Amazon and eBay for "blankets" and they were all throws, throw-overs, sofa throws, couch blankets (whatever they are). there were no simple "tuck in" traditional blankets, which is what I want.

I can get traditional woollen blankets but they are upwards of £85 and even second-hand ones on eBay are £40 or more with no returns, so that's a chance I am not prepared to take.

Morning all.
Grey and cold here, and nothing doing.
Our sons has a meeting tomorrow at his workplace. This will involve talk of "restructuring" and the unions will be present.
Which is shorthand for redundancies. So we'll have to see what happens.
Our daughter was taking Dobby the dog for a walk last night when a black cat suddenly slunk out in front of them.
Dobby was terrified of it! Maybe it was the shock of seeing it, the great wuss.
Have a lovely day everyone.
