Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 06 Mar 2024, 07:32

Good morning.

Watching a stunning sunrise whilst having a coffee before collecting my friend to take her to hospital.

I'll call into her house this afternoon to check Lou Lou and Casper are fed and watered.

Conor's coming over late afternoon and taking us out for dinner tonight.
He's working early tomorrow morning and can't join us for breakfast. :)

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny, misty and rather cool this morning, but 19C later 8-)

Off to do the Ourique thing this morning, normal shopping, plus see Nelson for some winterizer for the pool, back for breakfast, then I'm going to try and weed the veggie plot. You can't actually see what we have growing, as the weeds are taller than the plants

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Wow!

I was a bit apprehensive about driving into Malaga during rush hour (being a lover of the excellent public transport over here) but it was fine. :D

Carol's all checked in and will be operated on this afternoon.

Cats fed and I've been duly mewed at.

Don picked some more oranges last night and they are very juicy.
Normally early March they have the ability to draw your jaws together  but we've had the most incredible mild non existant winter so it looks like everything will be riper earlier. 8-)

Off to squeeze some for a juice with toast. :D

Good morning everybody.

It was 14C whenI got up and went for the paper. There is a lovely blue sky with no clouds. So it may get warmer.

Ally, talking of squeezing oranges. My moyher used to have a device made from glass. It had a pointed centre on which you put half the orange. As you turned
it round the juice drained into a channel round the edge. There were little spikes to stop the pips falling into the juice. When I was young I made many orange
drinks using it. No sugar or other additives.

Writing a few letters and making ohone calls today. May do the washing as the baket is getting full.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s bright and sunny here, but windy and the sea is quite rough. I ordered a present yesterday for my brother who will be 80 next month, and it was delivered this morning! I was very impressed, I thought I was being organised and leaving plenty of time, but have it already. My sister and I think we will go to Cork on the train for the day on his birthday and take him out to lunch. I’ve a few things on my list for today, we’ll see how I do. First I need to have a shower and wash my hair.

hello all and good morning
Ally, best of luck to Carol - hope all goes well; and glad the traffic was OK and that the cats were happy to see you. Enjoy the dinner this evening
Jan, good luck with the weeding. Same problem here; because of the very mild and very wet winter the weeds have just gone bonkers!
Cruiser, enjoy your day pootling. Re the juicer; is this what your mother had?

Busy day for me today - board meeting followed by Annual General Meeting of our Investment Trust; so lots of running around and sorting things.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Whoop, whoop, we're off to the cinema around lunch time. It will be the first visit since last October. Will be interesting to see how I manage the stairs, that will be a first. We're seeing Dune Part Two, we enjoyed the first film so guessing this will be more of the same, very excited.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all.
Grim and grey here; a pity, because yesterday was positively spring like.
We are off to the shops in a minute.
This afternoon we will look at booking a country cottage for a break in May or June.
It's noticable how dear Northumberland has become.
Have a good day all.
