Sadly I am wearing mine today!

The river is up again, and the main bridge over the canal by the Docks is closed, due to a boat hitting it at the weekend and the high winds - traffic chaos  Here It’s an amazing bridge actually as the road section completely lifts in the air to let very tall ships underneath. Unfortunately for us today it was closed so we had to turn back and go the long way round to get to the other side :cute:

This photo was from before it was completed, but you get the idea, and the scale! I have only seen it raised twice - it’s quite a sight :D

That would indeed be quite a sight.
We had a very high spring tide along the solent last night which with the high wind caused the sea to breach the defences in a few places.

Evening all, it’s sunny now but it was awful earlier. Very wet and windy from 8ish until mid afternoon. At least Bill got his walk before it got too bad.

I’ve had a day of Spring cleaning, now that I can get into every room  One of the first things John said to me on Sunday when me and Joe got home from Manchester was “isn’t the house tidy!?”. It’s obvious who the messy one was  There are no mugs left in random places, no laptop bags (Tom has his MacBook and a work laptop) or charging cables left lying around, no shoes kicked off in the kitchen doorway, no wet towels on what is now Joe’s bathroom floor….

Saundra, I’ve said in the past that when he got his own place I was going to use every mug that he owned and leave them all lying around to see how he liked it  When he was away at university he was always very tidy, I’m sure he was messy here just to wind us up.

And what, I ask, is so wrong with laptop bags, charging cables, stray socks and underwear?

I had to share a bathroom with lipsticks, mascara brushes, compacts, glitter, lotions and potions of every description.

I didn't bitch and moan, I just chucked them in the bin. Sorted. ;) :D
