Morning Ally, and everyone :)

Looks like a sunny day here, but it’s been so changeable lately who knows  Going to town to meet Em and our WW friend Jan. I need to buy and post a card for our little great niece Poppy, who will be six on Friday :o Not sure how that happened! :)

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

Sunny and warm day 8-)

Washing out, watering done, not sure what else I'll be doing today. Grumpy is going to wash the cars and mend the privacy screen, as I'm fed up with next door watching me in the pool

Something light for dinner, too hot to cook

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody.

Still a cool 17C. Lots of clouds but the sun is trying to come out.

Just a day of pootling. Am getting some things together as I am going to see a cousin at Wrexham tomorrow. Not seen her for a couple of years.
So we will have a lot to talk about.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a dull one and there’s a bit of drizzle in the air.

Had a lovely day at Tom’s yesterday. John built the shed up after laying some slabs for the base and I cut the lawn, I now I know why my Dad was so keen to give Tom his spare hardly used lawn mower - it’s horrible to use! It probably didn’t help that the grass hadn’t been cut for three weeks though. We’ve had to keep the mower here as Tom had nowhere to store it and he’d been over here the last two weekends so we hadn’t been over to take it and bring it back. He’s got it in his shed anyway now so can keep on top of cutting it.

Actually it appears that it’s not Tom’s shed. A certain little hairy fella watched it being built with interest and once it was in place he installed himself in it. Maybe he’s wanted a kennel all along

Tom cooked us a delicious dinner. Pork cooked in the slow cooker served with mash, carrots, broccoli and cranberry gravy. Followed by the lemon cheesecake I’d made and managed to transport over without damaging. It wasn’t a recipe I’d used before but it was definitely one I’ll use in future.

Where have the years gone Kaz?

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, mostly cloudy here but pleasant and there is no rain forecast which is a bonus. Our visitors arrived yesterday afternoon and we had a lovely evening, sitting around the dinner table chatting for ages. Today we are off to the Guinness Storehouse, where the black stuff comes from - Mick is a Guinness drinker so he will enjoy that (personally I think it tastes like vomit). They have a restaurant there too so I’ve booked for us to eat there after the tour. All in all, it should be a good day out and we will head off on the bus in just over half an hour.

Good morning chaps.
Grey today.
We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Iris in Wakefield. A little bit more expensive than most but 100% better as far as the food goes.
MrsC is now out with the Hound of the Baskervilles; when she gets back I'm running her into town for some retail therapy.
Kaz, Poppy is a lovely name.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Not exactly sunny, but nice and bright.

Grass cutting is one job we don't miss having to do. With our combined ops, having artificial grass was a good decision. Tbh we find it difficult enough keeping the rest tidy

Tesco are due between 12-1pm, the app is saying 2 stops away so any time soon I'm guessing. Last week they were very early.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Jen, if I’d been near I’d have happily come around and cut your lawn - it’s my favourite household job
Think I get it from my Dad, up until a few years ago he had lawns like bowling greens and loved cutting them. Not saying ours are in the same league though
