Good morning.

After four hectic days I'm spending today at home with Craig. :D

He's cooking dinner tonight and we'll watch something on Netflix. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, cool morning 8-) Not too hot at 30C later, so we're both quite happy 8-)

A quiet day for us, Grumpy's knee is looking much more normal. So that's one worry out of the way. The other bit, the hurty bit, is just old age

Washing out and I'll water the pots and small plants later.

The meal yesterday was different, but it's a long way for us, so don't think we'll be rushing back. Poor Ray was gagging for a beer  We went back to "our" bar and left quite late, unusual for all of us.

Steve and Jacquie gave me a bottle of body mist, for my birthday yesterday and it is really good at keeping the mozzies off, as we were being bombarded as we sat outside the bar. Smells nice though ;) We'll go down the bar later this afternoon, as I want to get rid of the rubbish and recycling anyway.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Oh and Mitchell has had his hip op, yesterday, and apparently, was quite chipper, although in a lot of pain,. Because of his heart problems, they just gave him a local

Good morning everybody,

Grey skies again and still only 17C. The roads are dry so norain yet.

Going to do the ironing this morning.. Then may do some gardening. There are weeds growing between the flags. I just spray them with weed killer.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s a nice sunny one here, hope it stays that way. I am up, dressed, hair washed and even wearing a little makeup  and it’s only 8.45! I’m going to my friend’s sister’s funeral so thought I should look vaguely respectable. On the way, I’ll get some petrol. This afternoon, I really need to do some ironing - I had intended to do it yesterday but there was tennis on ….. Last night I was WhatsApping with Michael about the golf next week, he was looking at who is playing and is excited about seeing Tiger Woods and other American players. Today or tomorrow, I’ll check in for our flights. Ally, I’ve been looking at the airport bus to Central Station, I can get a group return ticket for £38 which seems like good value to me, do you know if it’s a good service? I’ve already booked our train tickets from Glasgow to Troon. Michael pointed out that Rory McIroy is teeing off just after 7am on Thursday, we diplomatically said that we could catch up with him on the 2nd nine holes ;) Really looking forward to this trip.

Jan, over here people do get a new hip done with an epidural. Glad to hear Mitchell is doing ok.

I don't know about the bus service Osc as we only took the train. :)

Same over here, in one day and epidural for hip replacement and all being well out the following day.

Just been speaking to Don and it's going to be 40° again so he was out for his power walk at 6.30 before he had a coffee which is unheard of!

I don't think he'll be out just yet. His left shoulder is in pieces and he also has a hairline fracture in his right. How he will be able to get around or do stuff might be a problem.

He lives on his own, but I'm thinking Steve and Karen might either take him in for a few days or we organise several of us to go over many times a day.

Dominic is looking after his chickens, but he really, really dislikes his personal space being invaded by other people. A rather complex person, to put it mildly.

Warming up nicely now 8-)

Good morning.
Leaden skies again.
We had a good night last night. The Take2 big band played numbers from Duke Ellington, Glen Miller, Frank Sinatra and some Michael Buble stuff.
Some couple danced to it, which was really nice to see. It's a seventeen (I think) piece band, so a big sound. It went down well.
We are set to take Jim his shopping in a while and maybe go and see our daughter.

Jan, there is or used to be a lemon body spray from Avon that was good for keeping mozzies off; I can't remember the name though. Body mist? (I hate the blinking things too).
Have a nice day everyone.

Skin so soft or something.

Lynda gave me a brilliant tip yesterday.

Slice a lemon in half, put a couple of cloves in each half and put them in the bedroom. Worked last night :Hi:

I've done some work in the garden, but it's just too hot to be out in it now  Apart from in the pool ;)

Morning all :D

Nice and dry.

They use a spinal anaesthetic here too Jan, I always have it with a heavy dose of sedation though, no way could I cope with hearing all that sawing etc  I do hope he will let his neighbours and friends help, as you say he won't manage on his own.
Skin so Soft from Avon is highly recommended by lots of people. It doesn't work for me, heavy deet is my only protection from the blighters. Not heard of the lemon and cloves, will be interested to hear how well it works.

We've had a lovely long lie in. Off out for a walk along the seafront in the next hour or so, no doubt we'll rest halfway at the Royal Pavilion, I'll need a sit down and Ed's looking forward to a cheeky pint

Hope you all have a good day xx
