Doc's tonight to watch the Euro finals. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Was foggy earlier, but that soon cleared and it's warm already 8-)

Been a busy person this morning. All the watering done and I had to do most of it, as Grumpy can't walk up or down slopes - and we have a lot of them   - two loads of washing out, pool cleaned and I had to hunt for the nozzle for the hose-pipe, but that's gone missing again

Now breath and coffee, then breakfast, then lazy day. Maybe some ironing.

Footie tonight.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally, morning all :)

18° must be great after the Spanish heat, Al! Enjoy the footie tonight 8-) xx

That's a very busy start, Jan! :D xx

The sun's out here! Hoorah! :D Just got off FaceTime with Becks, all's well there :) We're out in a bit, we might be meeting Em and Dave, but it will depend on how tired they are after a very late night - they went to see Peter Kay at the O2 in London last night and were driving home afterwards. Round to D's later.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Good morning everybody.

Still only 18C here with grey clouds but no rain.

Just another day of pootling. Am slowly getting rid of papers I no longer need. I have a shredder which soon gets full. I then empty it into the big
blue wheelie bin.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all.
Grey and rainy here.
I must admit, I prefer 18c to 40c - by a mile. Living in that heat constantly would do me in. That said, we really do need some sun to relieve the leaden weather - 25c would be nice.
Sister in law, son and his gf are coing for Sunday dinner. Apart from that a lazy day.
Jan, that sounds like a labour of ove with the watering.
Have a nice day everyone.

It is, a bit, Crommers, but I looking at the plants and flowers, so they need to be looked after.

Forgot to say earlier, we went to the bar yesterday afternoon and both tables were full with the cork cutting gangs. Went into get a beer and one of them came in, grabbed a couple more chairs and made us sit at one of the tables, with them.

They were well oiled by the time we arrived and then the music started, on a phone, so the singing started, then the story telling and every time one of them went to get a drink, we would have one each too

I bought a round and got told off, it was their day and they were happy to buy us drinks.

We had to sneak away after five

Morning all, after a cloudy start the sun has come out now and it’s nicely warm. We were up and out early to go to Miss Osc’s house and wash the car, we needed to get back to have a parking space before the hordes descend on Howth. I found some overripe bananas in Miss Osc’s which Edward is busy turning into banana bread. I’ve done a bit of packing for our trip next week, put on a towel wash and will clean the bathrooms shortly. Then there is tennis to watch and of course, football later on (sorry folks, I’ll be cheering for Spain).

My friend’s sister’s funeral went ok yesterday, the man giving the eulogy went on - and on - and on. I was with another friend and her husband, and he started to nod off  Met up with a few people from school, one who I had not seen since shortly after I left and she said I hadn’t changed a bit :D Then my friend, her hubby (who was my first boyfriend) and I went for a bit of a lunch and a good chat.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

Our walk along the seafront was lovely yesterday. No nasty swelling or pain this time, feel as though I've turned a big corner. I can live with my ankle feeling a bit odd and the need for a walking stick, tbh that's not likely to change, just being able to get out and about 'properly' again makes the pain and hassle of the operation worthwhile.

Taking it nice and easy today, tennis for me this afternoon, I'd love to see Alcaraz win, but you can't dismiss Djokovic, he's a great player. Ed will be glued to the football this evening. An England win would be brilliant, I hope they play well, but I'm not holding my breathe. We'll be having roast chicken with salad sometime around 6.30ish so it shouldn't clash.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Did you leave after five drinks or five o'clock?

Saundra,

I have ben watching the Tour de France. I don't understand why there are so many riders.
But I love the scenery. It amazes me how close the spectators get to the riders. There must be many thousands watching along the route.
