States that just as you think the money is going well this month, a forgotten item will arise to correct that notion!
In my case the deposit for next year's holiday.

Jan's law.

Don't buy an expensive car. It will cost a lot of money when it goes wrong.

And yes, within the last five minutes I have just broken that law.

Now off again... but with my wallet. :P :P :P

The Ostrich's Law:

Do not say "Sod the Diet" and succumb to a bacon roll.
You will only regret it at the next weigh-in ...... :|

No, it was at half-time at Middlezoy Rovers v Cullompton Rangers last Saturday, South West Peninsula League Premier East, finished 1-2.
They have a very well-appointed bar and kitchen there in the Ethan Berry Pavillion, and the aroma of frying bacon through the hatch was all to much for me.
Two rashers in the roll, £3.50 (seems to be the going rate these days) and it was lush. Made it last nearly 15 minutes and savoured every bite. 8-)
Put on nearly 'arf a pound and got told off by Mrs. O.

My aunty and uncle, vegetarians for years, went out jogging one morning and the aroma of bacon cooking in the cafe at Hollybush Garden Centre as they passed by was too much so they jogged home for some money and jogged back for a bacon butty
And that was the end of their years of vegetarianism.
