He died on Friday afternoon.

The funeral is tomorrow, although the Portuguese really don't do funerals. His coffin will be in the chapel in Ourique, then is off to Setubal, to the crematorium.

We're not going, but there is a wake planned in the bar on Monday afternoon.

He was 80 and had really lived a very full life.

That's good to hear but it's still sad especially with his health issues in later life.

Sad news, Jan. I met Mitch when I was there and he was a character, to say the least. He will be much missed by his family and many friends. RIP Mitch.
