Good morning.

A gorgeous 27° forecast. 8-)

I'm going into Malaga on the bus this morning as I have an appointment at 9.30 and don't fancy negotiating Spanish driving beforehand.
The buses and services here are excellent so it's no hardship to use public transport. :cute:

Conor is meeting me afterwards and bringing me back home on the back of his motorbike. His spare crash helmet is red...it'll match my lippy.

It's the twins birthday on Wednesday and Conor and Lucia are going to Seville for a few days so he's coming over here for an early birthday shindig with Don and myself.

Lunch out...which will extend to dinner out and Conor will stay the night at ours. :P

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny and going to be another lovely, spring like day 8-)

One load of washing out, another on the go, I do like clean, cotton sheets on the bed :D

Sheep have gone, from our field, looks like it will be disced sometime this week. One of the cork oak trees died, after it had been stripped - quite normal, apparently, but sad for us to lose one. Jose Felipe brought his tractor up with the discs on, and just pushed it over  Now lying in bits  We are really supposed to get permission to cut down a dead tree, but this is rural Alentejo

I would love to carry on cutting back the yuccas, but the blister is telling me no, so I'll do some weeding instead ;)

Good luck with your appointment Ally xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing x

Morning all, it’s dull but dry.

There’s washing to be done and the usual post-weekend tidy up although seeing as I was either out or home alone for much of the weekend there’s not much to be done

Joe did really well at the half marathon and beat his Manchester time, he clocked 1hr 55mins. He said it was tough going though with the heat and the hills in Palma. His mate Ryan finished it in 1hr 15mins  but then he does run competitively. They were all done by mid morning so that’s given them almost two days to enjoy themselves before flying back tomorrow.

Tom’s coming after work, he’s popping home first for a few things, as he’s taking a small group of 6th formers to Poland tomorrow - for the day - for a visit to Auschwitz and they fly from Birmingham at around 6am so it’s quicker and easier for him to stay here. He said he’ll be leaving at around 3am and will meet the kids there. It’s all organised and subsidised by the Holocaust Education Trust. He did this last academic year too and said it’s a hard yet very worthwhile visit.

I went to Tom’s for dinner on Saturday, we had a lovely afternoon and evening and it’s rare now that it’s just the two of us. He cooked a lovely curry and afterwards we went a walk down the farm lane which runs in front of his house to see the comet which has been passing over. Not only did we see that but we saw Starlink go overhead and also a shooting star!

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, it’s a bright day here, still a bit breezy but we didn’t experience much of Storm Ashley. Edward has gone to play golf and I’ll be off to mobility class in a while. This afternoon I’ll be tackling the ironing, I have some new podcasts to listen to while doing it.

Jo, that sounds like a lovely evening with Tom.

Morning all :D

Wet

The garden is a complete mess, all the wind has brought down masses of palm leaves, they are everwhere. It really needs a good tidy so that's a job for our next dry day. Looking out of the window it definitely won't be today, we're expecting a Tesco delivery later this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
MrsC is having her hair done. We've already had a delivery and this afternoon we are taking a load of cardboard from our daughter's to the tip; honestly, the car is jam packed with it.
Grey here but no gusty wind now; it brought a load of leaves down from the trees opposite.
Enjoy your lunch Ally. Joe must be a fit lad Jo.
have a nice day everyone.

Afternoon all :)

Still a bit under the weather, but went into town nonetheless to meet Em, and get some fresh air. B came too, Mick dropped us into town, so taking it easy really.

Ally, I can just imagine you on the bike :D xx

I like cotton sheets too Jan :) xx

Hope you got your photos sorted, Cruiser xx

Jo, that does sound like a lovely evening. Well done to Joe, and I hope Tom's trip goes ok. Very tough subject, my niece and nephew both went with their school and said it was difficult xx

It turned into a bright day here too Osc :) xx

The wind certainly does bring down a lot of leaves, Jen! D gets loads of leaves on her front drive and parking - the wind seems to blow all the neighbours' leaves her way  We generally sweep them up, but now she has a new, regular gardener hopefully he will do them ;)

Love to all xxx
