Good morning.

Forecast sunny and 22°. 8-)

I'll go for my walk soon. :D

I didn't get the chance to post yesterday as Conor came over and asked if we fancied going to Granada with him and Lucia to visit her grandmother.
We quickly got ready and had a lovely couple of hours with her.
She's fully recovered from her flu that she had at Christmas and is such a spirited lady. :)

On the way home the four of us stopped for lunch. :D

Reading and relaxing for me today.

We've got a chicken to chuck in the oven  to have with spicy wedges and salad. ;)

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally ad anybody else who is up

It was 11C when I got up. Most of the snow has gone. Only litle lumps where it has ben pil;ed up. There is a lovely blue sky. Hope it stays like this.
I will start getting up early and going for the paper before I have my breakfast.

I will be having a chicken breast with stuffing, roast potatoes and cauliflowr with parsley sauce for dinner.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning.
Slightly warmer today I think. Lots of blue skies and sun.
We too have a chicken for Sunday dinner!
Jimmy is still in hospital and has fallen and hit his head again. The hospital rang up and apologised again, but it's not their fault.
Not much on here, we will have to see what the day brings. Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning all :D

Cold, frosty, fog and now sunshine

Crommers are the hospital planning to send him to a care home as a permanent move? It must be clear to them he's no longer safe living on his own.

Went to bed last night feeling a bit poorly, did a salt water gargle, dosed myself up and don't feel quite as bad this morning. Keeping fingers crossed I can keep it at bay, will be really gutted if it spoils our trip on Wednesday.

There was heavy fog when Ed went round for the papers, he couldn't see down to the bottom of our road, it's clearing now, but definitely not a good day to be out and about.

Stay warm and well wrapped up xx

Jen, they were going to send him to a kind of half way house care home earlier in the week. But there was an issue with patient transport and he didn't go.
As I understand it as long as he is considered to have "capacity" and says that he wants to live at home, then that's how it is.
He really needs to be in care though because he is not safe living on his own.

Morning all, I’m late on parade but we’ve been doing exciting stuff! We started off yesterday talking about a particular type of holiday we were thinking of, but then saw something that sent us off in a different direction. So we are off to Stresa on Lake Maggiore on 1st September for 8 nights, flights and rented apartment booked and two great looking day trips that we will book when 2025 prices become available. By booking independently, we are already up over €1000! Mind you Edward has just seen weather for the same period in 2022  So now I’d better get moving as we are going out for lunch and dancing this afternoon, need to get changed and slap on some makeup.

Morning everyone

Sunny and cloudy, but warm.

Had problems with the laptop this morning, so just closed it down and did other stuff.

Off to a friends this afternoon, as he's 60. I've made a potato salad and we'll take wine and beer, as well as his birthday pressie.

Hope Jo is doing okay x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good afternoon all.

Just been to the supermarket as things were running out and their shelves were nearly bare. It is all the basics that are running low - bread, milk, eggs, meat - but the crisps, pop and biscuits are well stocked!

It is nice and sunny but still only just above zero.

Cromwell, Jim obviously need help so you might have to go the charity route, Age UK, Alzheimer's, to see what they can advise. Good luck.

Minute steak, salad and coleslaw for the evening meal.

Afternoon everyone :)

Much warmer here today, but a bit grey and gloomy after the brilliant, if frosty, sunshine of the past few days. Went for breakfast, then to see D. Came back for a late lunch of beef casserole, I cooked it overnight in the slow cooker. I've also made some muffins - lemon and blueberry to a SW recipe, and chocolate which are definitely not a SW recipe

Ally, that's very good news about Lucia's grandmother :D xx

That sounds very tasty Cruiser 8-) xx

Gosh, him would be so much safer in a care home Crommers, but as you've said it's up to him :? D's best friend has just gone into a local care home, after a stroke - 80k pa, no idea how that is justifiable  xx

Fingers crossed for Wednesday, Jan XX

Oh that does sound exciting Osc! :D :D xx

Happy 60th to your friend, Jan :D xx

Glad you managed to get what you needed Frank. No supply issues our way, as so far we've managed to avoid snow *touch wood* xx

(((Saundra))) Stay well wrapped up xxx

Love to all xxx
