Yesterday late afternoon I signed on the dotted line... effective 14th April I will be gainfully employed once more. I'll be joining a Management Consultancy based near Moorgate, so proper City of London for me.


To say I'm over the moon and soooooo relieved is an understatement. The salary is lower that I'd have liked, but it's a good company with a global footprint, so secure and stable. And if all goes well, this will hopefully be my last job in London before finding something closer to home as I reach retirement age.

I was wondering when the dotted line was being signed and kept popping in.

That’s brilliant, congratulations! My first job in London was at Throgmorton Avenue in the City.

I worked in London for a couple of years. The office was in Theobalds Road.

That was in 1964.
