Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 26 May 2025, 06:42

Morning everyone

Bit blowy, but expecting another warm day at 31C.

In for a hot week, as we'll be hitting 38C during the day and a sticky 20C at night

Just having a quick coffee, then I'm off out weeding on the bank. I bought myself a pair of very good gloves yesterday. Not touched the bank for a couple of years, not being able to, so it really needs some serious weed digging.

Will do some ashing when my back tells me to stop

BBQ later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, the sun keeps peeping out from behind the clouds and it’s still very breezy.

Me and John walked George first thing, now he’s gone off to Tom’s to start laying the slabs for his patio (John, not George although he’d be useful for digging any holes). They planned to start on Saturday but the sand and cement delivery didn’t turn up until almost 7pm so they’d got everything ready to go for today and dug borders around the garden too. Tom went to a garden centre yesterday, bought a load of plants and shrubs and got those planted. John couldn’t go over because me and Joe were at a match so he needed to be home.

Joe’s home, he’s off to Jade’s at lunchtime. Tom’s staying tonight, he’s got a dentist appointment at 8.30 in the morning and doesn’t want to risk getting caught in traffic driving over from Burton at that time.

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Sunny 8-)

We had a nice lazy day yesterday. but today we're planning to tackle the garden. It doesn't look too bad, not too many weeds but there are a plenty of palm leaves dotted around. Expect the garden bin will be overflowing by the time we're done, don't think Ed will forget to put it out this evening

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon chaps.
Bank holiday weather here - cool and showery.
We have been to Sainbos and will be having a chicken salad later.
Son and gf are coming over later for a visist.
MrsC got me out of bed earlier by saying she would draw the curtains and "let the evening sun in"!
It was only a bit of a lie in.

This made me smile!

Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon everyone :)

Late to the party again - we've been out all day, and my phone hadn't charged up properly overnight, so died on me :cute: ;) Went to Corretto's for brunch, round to D's then were invited to Emma and Dave's for a cuppa. We watched the absolutely bonkers annual cheese rolling. Superman won this year aka some wiry little Gloucester bloke in a costume. Personally I was rooting for the fella dressed as a T-Rex    xx

Wishing Osc and D safe travels and an amazing holiday. :D
