Too Good To Go

What a treat we had tonight, Joe and Jade came in with a Starbucks carrier bag, they’d been to collect a Too Good To Go bag from there and it was full of cake!
They’d paid £2.99 for the bag, not knowing exactly what would be in it but it contained a lovely selection of six cakes, all of which would’ve been on sale for between £3.50 and £4 each and would’ve been thrown away otherwise.

Jade said that she and her Mom had a bag from Aldi a couple of weeks ago and it was full of salad so wasn’t so good but had another from Greggs which was much better

Anyone else tried Too Good To Go?

We don't run to a Starbucks or a Greggs down here, but sounds a good bargain! :D

What a good ida.

How did you find out about the bags?

It’s all on a app Cruiser, you put in your local area and it shows what’s available. I’ve just looked and a local Toby Carvery is selling a breakfast bag, to be collected at around 11am, for £2.49.

Ossie, we’ve gone from having no Starbucks to three in the space of four years. Even the pub by my Dad’s house has been converted into one now.

When I was a young lad (many moons etc.) Henry, our neighbour, had a butcher's shop in Leeds Market. On Saturdays it closed at lunch time so for the last hour he would set up a trestle with 'Pick a bag' deals of stuff to go before it reopened on Tuesday. What was in the bag was pot-luck - no peeking. Any that were left he would hawk round the pub on his way home but he always brought home the best ones for a few neighbours.

He had a soft spot for mum and my disabled brother so we always got a 'special' with a roasting joint, rump steaks, chops and the best mince. :D :D :D
