Coming back from my Mom and Dad's last night. The date, November 5th. Saw a Christmas tree all lit up in a window. Never seen one this early before

But I've just turned down an invitation to a friends 65th birthday do. It would be at the same place as their wedding anniversary do, and so the same old people and the same cost of 16€ a head. And the same sort of night that we hate - all the English together, gossiping, bitching - can't stand most of them.

So I've declined

And the wind is coooold on the back terrace. Grumpy wrapped up in 3 payers
