The people opposite are so indecisive. They put their house up for sale. Took it off the market. Three weeks later put it up for sale with a different estate agents. One week later it's off the market again.

Yebbut, my granny was in Lincolnshire so I spent a lot of time up there, but I'd not heard of nebby :)

Jo our next door neighbour has told us since we moved in that she was going to move back to Birmingham. She finally put her house on the market, then about 3 weeks ago the sign disappeared and it's off the market again :D

Isn't it strange Di?
The people joined onto us moved in a few months after we did and they moved from just around the corner, 6 doors away. Apparantly they'd liked our style of house but couldn't afford one when they were initially buying. They'd been in their house for a year when they moved around here. Then last Summer they put theirs up for sale. Our friends were very interested (they'd reserved it when we were buying ours but got cold feet at increasing their mortgage so pulled out and regretted it ever since, when it went up for sale they decided to just rent their house out as it wasn't on the market but they didn't want to miss out again) and after a few days called the estate agents to book a viewing but were told it was sold. It wasn't though, the for sale board disappeared a week later and they're still here now.

Jo I remember you saying about your friends/neighbours now. Some people just seem to chop and change every few minutes :?

Ah Gal it must be much more northern than Lincolnshire then :)

Nesh. We say that around here, is it just a Midlands word or is it used elsewhere?
