There is no shop open on a Sunday here that sells kettles.

Anyway I remembered meriad's post about her low noise kettle and wanted on of those so got onto amazon...out of stock till Tuesday! :x
We have a travel one, it doesn't even do two mugs full, we have to take turns

When ours went kaput a few months ago we used our wee milk pan to boil water.  You don't realise how many timess you flick a kettle on every day until you can't!

It's always a good idea to keep an old corded phone Saundra, if you have a power cut you can use that.

I've got two spares in a box in the garage, just in case  One that B used at uni, and the other is an old plastic cheapie one I bought many years ago but replaced with a nicer one :D

Not being able to have a (quick) cuppa is a disaster in this house!

I've only ever replaced a kettle because it expired, so no old ones
The travel one is fine for a day or three...don't think we're expecting visitors :D

Oh no. You could always heat the water in the cup in the microwave, or boil a pot.

I love my kettle Di - it really was such a good buy and I'd never buy a normal noise one again

Ally - that's such a fab name for a nailpolish; would love to know how people come up with them
